Okay, here it is 1:30 am and for the fricken 3rd day in a row I have had to get up out of bed to eat… first I am just woken up by hunger and if I ignore it and try to go back to sleep it turns into nausea… and its not a simple couple crackers nibble… I have to eat a half of a peanut butter sandwich (man if after this pregnancy I NEVER see peanut butter again it will be too soon… and I use to LOVE the stuff). I remember with my son having to get up and pee at 30 + weeks, but eating at 1 am at 12+ weeks… anyone else have this, this early in there pregnancy?

Yep...I know just where you are! Sorry....I do know it is annoying...but don't deny yourself those cravings...and hunger cues....eat and go back to sleep! It does get better soon.

I'm jealous! I tend to have very little appetite throughout the day and night and need to force myself to eat a lot of the time. (I do occasionally get ravenously hungry--typically in the car in the middle of nowhere, georgia where there is no food and nowhere to purchase any)

I say eat when your body tells you you need it! You certainly don't want to have to worry about not gaining enough weight. I constantly worry about my weight, even though my doctors tell me not to--when the needle on the scale doesn't move, you worry!

I know exactly what you are going through. I am 12 weeks 6 days, so our due dates are right next to each other. I try to help things by sitting in bed and eating a snack right before I go to sleep. Part of the snack always includes a glass of milk. It seems to help with the middle of the night hunger pangs. I fear that if I get up in the middle of the night and eat that I will gain too much weight and be big as a house. Although from what I have read, it sounds like all of us are headed towards that. LOL

Thanks ladies for your insight… and I was up again at 6:15… making an egg UGH <_< ! I do try to snack before I go top bed… maybe I should just try something a little more hearty than crackers… something that will stick to my ribs…
I too have a issue with eating in the middle of the night because of weight gain issues… but I honestly just have body issues (pregnant or not)… when I found out I was pregnant with twins I pop myself in therapy, so I wouldn’t do something stupid like…not eat to not get fat. I hit 200 lb with my singleton (and he was early)… so I know I will gain weight and just have to remember I was able to loose it before I can loose it again… but it is a battle I have every time I put something to my mouth… luckily I’m married to an Italian man who likes them “curvy”… I say he’s a chubby chaser and he says NO I like you to look like a women not a 15 year old boy
I got my drivers license renewal and the weight said 117 (I haven’t changed that since I was 16  ) and my dh said “117!!!!… Maybe in one boob… and I love it!!!
thank you agin for your support... it helps a girl at 1:30 am

I had to eat in the middle of the night early on. Then it stopped for awhile and now I am waking up hungry again. So you might get a break in there. Although now I am waking up to pee instead of eat. Not sure that the getting up in the night ever ends.

I would always wake up with a bad craving for milk... I could drink like a half a gallon of milk some nights. good luck with your pregnancy...

Oh yeah, I totally had midnight cravings during the first tri. And I ate exactly what you ate, half a peanut butter sandwich and a glass of milk. It was all I could stomach. Now in the second tri (and almost ate the end!) you cannot even get me to sit down and look at a peanut butter sandwich! :D It just doesn't agree with me anymore.

The moral of my story is, yes, it does get better. :p
