Plugins that really save time

What I value in premium plugins isn't the wow-features, but the thoughtfulness: logical settings, good tooltips, adequate defaults, and minimal conflicts. I installed one good plugin for SEO and one for forms—and as a result, I have less manual work and fewer disparate solutions. I'm also lucky with the theme: the page templates are neat, the responsiveness is flawless, and the blocks don't clutter on mobile. And yes, I always keep the wordpress nulled in mind, because some new plugin features simply require a fresh core. Do you more often build a site from "several powerful" plugins, or do you prefer a set of smaller, more focused solutions?
