Anyone know which accessories to steer clear of for a Cummins truck? I got a 2019 Ram and tried a cheap air intake last month. Sounded cool but killed my fuel economy. I’m looking to avoid more mistakes like that. What’s been a bust for you guys?

Ugh, bad air intakes are a nightmare! I wouldn't get those flashy chrome exhaust tips either - they look cool but they rust fast. Check out tunerdepot for tips on what to avoid - they have a lot of stuff for Cummins. I learned the hard way about a bad lift kit that ruined my suspension. Stick with trusted brands and maybe ask your local body shop what their most common problems are. Keeps your truck running smoothly.

I’ve been down the rabbit hole with Cummins accessories before. I’d say avoid super cheap programmers—those can mess with your engine’s tune and cause more headaches than they’re worth. A buddy of mine got a knockoff grille guard, and it bent on a light trail. I usually poke around in truck meetups or check out reviews on YouTube. People there are pretty open about what’s junk and what’s worth it. Takes some digging, but you’ll find good advice.
