Is AutoCAD LT 2017 Still a Good Option?

Our small architecture firm still uses AutoCAD LT 2015. Thinking about upgrading to 2017 version but worried about compatibility and licensing. Does anyone know if the 2017 perpetual licenses still activate properly? Need something stable for basic 2D work without subscription headaches.
