Over the past year, half of my vendors have started pushing the 3 or 3.5% credit card fees onto us. Quite a number of places I buy from in my day-to-day life have also started charging cc fees.

I have always just stuffed the cost of credit cards fees into our budget / prices, as I am sure most of these vendors have as well. It's just one more way to cut costs or increase prices without saying that you are increasing prices.

Anyhow, how many of you folks are charging customers for credit card usage? How did your customers react, and what was your mindset for doing it?

has anyone noticed customer reactions shifting lately toward added card fees? I’m thinking about trying it but wonder if more folks are using cash apps or other methods to avoid fees altogether. Curious if offering a small discount for cash has helped anyone keep clients happy without eating into profit.

I’ve been using this Global payment solution provider for over a year, and what worked for me was giving customers the choice—either pay cash or use a card and cover the fee. Most have no problem with it since everyone’s used to seeing those extra charges now. I just make sure it's mentioned up front on estimates and invoices so no one’s caught off guard.
