I work remotely and use Slack with my team, but people still DM me even when I’ve marked myself as busy. I want a better way to visually show when I’m focusing so they’ll wait before pinging me. Any recommendations for tools that help?

I had the same issue, especially when I started handling more project planning. What helped tremendously was getting a compact round busy light for remote teams. It’s a small, colorful light that sits on your desk and reflects your current status. I linked mine with my Google Calendar and communication apps, so it updates automatically. Now when it glows red, teammates know I’m deep in a task—even if I forget to update Slack. It’s also useful during video calls since it subtly reminds family members I’m “at work.” Remote work lacks physical cues, and this gave me one back. Highly recommend it if you want a non-verbal status tool that fits remote life.

Need to stretch your network farther than a standard Ethernet cable allows? Ethernet extenders are a super easy way to get past that 328 ft limit without a ton of hassle. Great for long runs—indoors or out.

Found this guide with 5 simple ways to extend your cable. Worth a look:

    Helped me out big time!
