We are using the Dr. Brown's bottles and using the first level of nipple.
When should we move to the next level?
    Thanks!

I switched to the next level once it seemed like my girls were taking FOREVER to finish their bottles. It became frustrating for them (and me!).
I say try the next size & if they aren't ready for it, you will know :) The milk will pool up in their mouth & run out if they aren't really ready.
It make take a few bottles for them to get used to it, but once they are ready it will cut feeding times way down! :good:

We used Dr. Brown's, and switched right around 14 - 15 weeks. I tried before that, since I was impatient, and they weren't ready yet.

We switched Tyler right around the 3-4 month mark when he started taking in more ounces and was getting frustrated that it wasnt coming out fast enough. Derek was on a variable flow nipple for cereal so he could get as much as he wanted, whenever.

I switched mine right at four months. DS was ready and did great. DD not so much and we went back to slow flow for another two weeks and tried again- and she was ready that time.

We switched to level 2 at 3 months old and just now are switching to level 3 but they don't seem to like it.

We switched DS2 to level 2 pretty early I'd say 2.5 months. DS1 was after that a couple weeks. We were using NUK brand then though. We switched to Dr. Browns and Level 3 around 5 months I think. We just switched to Level 4 over the last weekend.

Early on it really was just a matter of them taking so long to eat I couldn't sit there anymore :) This last time they quit eating as much as they were and we think it was because they were flattening the nipple by sucking on it so hard they were getting frustrated.

I switched the nipples when i felt they were ready. When they got fussy that they couldnt eat fast enough.. We still are on stage 2. We never moved on from there..

I switched my son a couple weeks ago at 11 weeks. He was just getting fidgety and bored while eating, and now seems to be doing fine with the level 2's (we also use Dr Browns). I won't switch my girl for a while yet though - I have no doubt she could handle it, but she eats practically inhales her bottle anyway, so I'd rather not speed her up -) May try her in a few weeks, but I'm not in any hurry.

We switched about four months....they started falling asleep a lot while eating and i figured a faster nipple would keep them up to finish the bottle.

Well you guys have got me thinking that I should consider switching to level 2. The girls are five months now (3 1/2 adjusted) and still using level 1. They suck their bottles down pretty quick and I don't see them getting frustrated.... but still. Their intake is increasing every week and soon I bet it will be a lot of milk for a level 1 nipple. We are also using Dr. Browns. One DD occasionally uses a Born Free bottle (when all others are dirty) w/a level 1 nipple and I do see her get frustrated with it come to think of it! I guess the Dr. Browns are faster! Adding level 2 nips to my shopping list. More $$$, more $$$... there's always something new needed :D

My babies just switched to the medium flow nipples, but they were nursed before. It's typically around 6 months though.

The Dr. Brown recommendation was 3 months. We switched at 16 weeks. We tried before then and they just weren't ready. They choked several times at the faster flow. But around the 4 month mark it was taking literally 35-45 minutes for them to finish their bottles and they were irritable and so was I. We went to the Level 2's and have been using them ever since. I was wondering if it might not be time for Level 3's now...
