The Great Stroller Debate thread got me thinking that if we all put our heads together we could come up with the perfect twin stroller. I figured we could all add one feature.

    I'll start:

I would like it to fold up compactly and not be flimsy (o.k. maybe that is two features ;) )

A safety shield you can put up between them when one twin decides to pull the other's hair...just kidding!!! :D

Seriously...a large storage basket like the one on the Graco DuoGlider...I can do almost a week's grocery shopping with a grocery basket hooked on the handles and the underneath storage basket.

Must provide adequate sun shield protection.

Must have good cup holders for two children and mommy.

Without bumping into the sides of the door way.

I have to seriously agree with the divider between the two kids, whether it be side to side or front to back. lol. At least having the option would be nice. I think, however, I'd rather have that installed in my car between the front and back seats :D

I would like to see a stroller that could have two sit and stand types seats and a seat for a third baby. Some of us do want more children after having twins.

I would like a side-by-side that you could automatically change the orientation of the wheels so you could push it the long way in narrow stores, doorways, etc. Does that make sense as I described it? You'd hit a button (on my fancy all-electronic stroller, hehe) and the wheels would turn 90 degrees, plus a pushing handle would pop out. Tres Jetsons. :)

:yahoo: I would like them to be able to be separated into 2 strollers. This way I can use one and DH can use one. It also needs to collapse inside itself like the combi can, and be less than 15 lbs. OH and the carrier strap always works!!

In combination of the above post...it can come detached and also connect as a tandem,,,2 different strollers in 1!~

    These are all great Ideas...

We should have a pettent and call it the Twinstuff delux!

I would have liked to have 2 seats that recline the whole way back so they both can take a nap and look comfortable. Not one seat that only goes half way like the Duoglider.

    Great ideas so far.

Great ideas! I'll add a snack tray... for both seats. I've tried every snack tray out there (and all sorts of unconventional ways of attaching them), but nothing fits my maclaren or my valco.

I love the divider idea! And the attached rain cover. Whenever I need that cover, it's buried at the bottom of my trunk.

I had the same thoughts about better sun protection and something that is already attached for wind/rain that you can roll over the stroller. (Great Idea!)
When mine were really tiny last year I would have to put a blanket over the two canopies to keep the sun out and now if they do not leave their hats on I worry .... they are very fair skinned. I never understood why the strollers weren't made with better protection from the sun, so that would be an awesome feature.

Ah, in a perfect world...my stroller would actually convert from SBS to Tandem options depending what we were doing (SBS for the zoo, Tandem for the mall)!

(Afraid this one is another "Jetsons" pipe dream)

Matter of fact...The stroller companies should realize that we worked so hard carrying our twins that they give us the DuoStroller3000 for free.

I had that same idea when I used the strollers alot (don't need them any more) because i always had such a hard time getting on buses.

I'd add a handle bar that you could flip over the top of the stroller (if that makes sense), so that you could switch between having them face outwards and having them face you.
Also I want jogging stroller type wheels, they are so much smoother and easier to push!

O.k. since nobody else has added this... a great big storage basket underneath with easy access!

I have the Peg Aria and the only things I would change is to have bigger wheels and bigger snack trays.
