    I did a Hasfit look good naked video a few minutes ago. It was hard enough that I crawled across the floor to turn it off. :lol:

    Gigantor, have you always been a fitness person or was a conscious change? I'm always curious about others.

    LOL Michelle! That look good naked exercise is pretty demanding-:)
    Fitness for me was a conscious change, definitely.
    Two things got me started:
    - In my late twenties I had a raging headache pretty much every day. I lived on pills. There were days when I could not hold my head at night. Literally I had to put it on a pillow while watching TV. Then a friend of mine introduced me to her chiropractor where I found out I had bone spurs. My back muscles were constantly irritated causing the headaches every day.
    I had treatments for 6 months 3 days a week. After I stopped getting the treatments the doctor suggested to strengthen my back muscles with exercise.
    - Then after I had my daughter I became very self conscious about my health as well. I started to read labels at the grocery store and watch what I eat. Don't misunderstand, I don't starve myself, I like food, just try to make better choices on most days (as you guys already know I have at least one cheat day of the week). Cancer runs in my family and from my mother's side none of the women (up to three generations) ever lived passed 59.
    This is my story.

    I completed the first week (6 days) of insanity. I can already feel the difference. I take tomorrow off and starting the second week on Saturday.

    last night was the week 2 day 3 ( MMA ), but i decided we should bring our tv computer downstairs from the family room to the workout tv. I had been bring down the laptop every night and switching the hdmi cable. Only problem is this is the first time we had the tv computer hooked directly up to the tv instead of through a receiver and the sound did not work through the hmdi. We sound up hooking the headphone jack of the computer into the girls karoke machine (so now it will get some good use) So instead of starting the workout at 8:20 we didn't start till almost 9:30 (and i had to bake cookies for my girls party favors after the workout- planned on doing it after school but came home to no power yesterday)

    I did the has fit week 2, day 3 and a zumba class yesterday
    Today will be has fit week 2, day 5 and either a walking workout or a workout at the gym. Today would be a day off but I am going to take that on Monday.

    [​IMG]Hasfit day 12 ( week 2 day 5) followed by 60 minutes on the bike.Tomorrow doing day 13. Trying to plan out workouts for next week. Friday night I'm going on a Girl Scouts camping overnight trip. Either have to work out at 5:45 Friday morning, or skip it. Figure I will skip Saturday.

    Only did hasfit week 2 day 6
    Now I'm at soccer then having people over for Mother's Day but hoping to get a good bikr ride outside with the girls this afternojn

    2nd week 3rd day on the Insanity - and it is still very, very hard-:) but super fun.

    Yesterday was a day off.
    Today is has fit week 2, day 7(?)--the body strength workout and a step circuit class.

    [​IMG]Week 3 day 1, but hasfit was down when we went to workout. Had to find the video in YouTube.Followed by 30 minutes on the bike.

    Today is week 3 day 1 of has fit and depending on how the day goes...will also include walking around the zoo for several hours and possibly the gym.

    Yesterday's has fit kicked my booty, I had the hardest time doing the yoga push up. Granted push ups are not my strong suit to begin with but that one was super tough :faint:

    Yesterday was week 2 day 4 of the Insanity. It is called the "cardio recovery" which is a lot of yoga strength exercise...i was hurting-:) After I finished the workout I did a little weight upper body/push up workout and 5 minutes lower ab.

    Yesterday I did some strength training and abs. Today I'm going to ikea- so a nice long walk. :)

    I have been slacking on the working out ladies, I need some encouragement! I skipped my run Monday because I was at a quadding course all day where I was learning to drive an all terrain vehicle and I felt like my legs were going to fall off. I also got my bike out for a bit of a ride on the weekend, and have been doing lots of gardening, but no concentrated effort to really get out and get my heart rate up. I don't want to lose all my new muscles! Or start letting my weight creep back up. I got down to about where I was a year ago; 153 lbs, and I want to keep going to about 140-145, although what I really just want is for my clothes to fit better, to feel healthy, and not to cringe at photos, so the number on the scale isn't as important.

    I tend to beat myself up if I don't exercise for a bit so I have to really focus on the now- what's done (or not done) is done. All I can do is make a different choice today and recommit to tomorrow. What are you going to do today?

    You're right; I find myself in that cycle often where I just get distracted for a few days and then scrap all my hard work. But there's no use beating myself up over it, and certainly no reason to just not get back on track. I am not going to do anything today because I was up all night with a puker! But, I have my gym bag here at work and I am going to get to bed early tonight and make sure I have enough hours in the day tomorrow to hit the gym.

    You can do this. Each day is a new day. What you did or did t do is not longer important, what is is what happens going forward.



    I just got my butt kicked by hasfit week 3day 2 30 minutes on the bike.

    Jen, I would treat each day as a new day. Don't beat yourself up for what you didn't do the day before. :youcandoit:

    Today I will be doing has fit week 3, day 2 and the elliptical and bike at the gym.

    The truth is, just because you "slack" a few days here and there means absolutely nothing. First and foremost you are conscious about it, you want to get back to feel better and believe me, unless you skip a few months, your muscles remember and they get back in shape easily.
    We all have periods in our lives when just don't feel like doing it. It's with everything. But then we do it eventually anyways. Mind over matter. Don't beat yourself up about it!

    Today I finished week two on the Insanity workout. This was no joke with pure cardio + cardio abs. I am looking forward to the break tomorrow and compare to today's excersice a much lighter "fit test" on Saturday.

    - so true Nancy, and as long as you wake to a new day, you have the power to change things.

    Week 3 day 3Followed by the bike.trying to decide if I'm going to wake up at 5:30 to do the interval walk/jog outside in the morning.

    Today is has fit week 3 day 3 and zumba class.

    I must say that I got a huge compliment from my Mom. She said to me that I looked like I was losing weight and I chuckled and said, "tell that to the scale" and she said then you've lost some inches there. It was nice to hear.

    That is great!

    I did not wake up early enough to do the running before work this morning. Not sure when I'm getting it in. I might wind up doing day 5 and 6 together on Sunday.

    Today is my day off

    Tomorrow is has fit week 3 day 5 (the interval walk/jog/sprint) and zumba class.

    I had to take an extra day off. I haven't been sleeping since last Sunday, my boys had the stomach bug with throwing up and nasty pain/diarrhea. Today i had a fever, but I think I'm just worn out. I took some extra vitamins and hoping to get back on track tomorrow.

    Hooper everyone is feeling better.
    Yesterday I did the walk run for 30 minutes. Today just finished arms and lower abs. Followed by the bike. Week 3 of hasfit done.

    Glad everyone is feeling better!

    Today I will do the 10 minute jump rope (with my pretend jump rope, I guess) has fit workout and do a walking workout on the computer. I won't have time to hit the gym today because the kids have their pre-k graduation tonight.

    I did Hasfit yesterday and am very sore. I did some stretching exercise show that was on PBS at 5:30a this morning. Hopefully the stretching will help loosen me up today.

    I did the pretend jump rope last night. It was interesting. I think i would have enjoyed it more if i did not have DH working out with me saying how stupid this is and what a waste of time it is. I felt it was a pretty good cardio workout.

    We followed it by 1/2 on the exercise bike.

    It's definitely a good cardio workout! I was sweating and breathing hard after the 10 minutes. I felt a little silly doing it but it was good.
    Today I will do has fit week 4 day 2 (I think it's the Sweat is Fat Crying, workout...which sounds scary to me) and a body works class tonight at the gym.
