let me add that i hate these things. anyhow, the girls have a ton. and those squinkies dispenser things don't hold enough, and i'm not buying a bunch of those, either! is there, like, some special squinkies container that holds them all? do they even need those bubbles? who invented these things?
I threw out the bubble things, lol. And I just have them in a container with a cover and pull them out here and there. They'd honesty be out more, but I watch a soon to be two year old, and she'd eat 'em! But ya, Annabella LOVES them. Anything really small actually.
We threw the bubble thingies out - the girls decided they didn't need them. And the squinkies are in a plastic storage container with a handle that's about the size of a shoe box. They're all jumbled in there with Polly Pockets, but it seems to work. The handle helps because my girls can pick the box up and take it to whatever room the squinkies live in that day.
hmmm... i just realized i have an old Caboodles make up box with a handle... i bet i can use that! and yes, i'll get rid of the ridiculous bubbles!
I can tell you where most of our squinkies are kept.... in the vacuum cleaner since that is where they keep ending up. And they are never coming back. :diablo: Seriously, I hate those things, I find them EVERYWHERE!
We throw the bubbles out too. Let's see, ours are stored all over. The dog especially likes to store them in his mouth! I hate those things!!
Good thing is, they don't really hurt that much coming out of the dogs, kind of soft, much softer than the wood or hard plastic they usually eat.
I just saved Buzz Lightyear's life today. I accidentally vacuumed up something else and when I got that out, there was squinkie Buzz...so I saved him. We don't have too many Squinkies...and I'm glad!
If I find one of those 'toys', its usually in the middle of the night when I step on it. I pick them up and put them away..........................IN THE TRASH! I have no use for those infernally obnoxious, painful things (at least legos DO something). I refuse to buy them. The girls have some that have been gifts, or that they bought themselves. I have told them they need to keep them corralled, because if I find them, I'm gonna trash them. I've yet to figure out their use, or why they are so popular.
Neither of my kids have gotten their hands on squinkies yet, thank goodness. But it's just a matter of time until they get them in a goody bag at someone's birthday. Sarah, however, is really into those little Japanese puzzle erasers. She spends all her pocket money on them. She's already lost at least half the ones she's bought, and I don't think she even really cares -- it gives her an opportunity to buy more, which is the part she really likes! I told her if I find them lying around, I will put them in her room (which is my basic policy with all their stuff), but beyond that it's her responsibility to keep track of them. Right now she has them all in a little gift bag.
Target sells a squinkies carrier - it's pink w/ a handle - very nice - and holes to set up the squinkies in - haven't seen a blue one....but definitely a pink one (I have two)
