We started potty training on Wednesday and I put them in underwear and tried using M&Ms when when went. Yeah, I washed those underwear 3xs that day (8 pair). Accidents were constant & I was in the bathroom all the time.

Thursday I stopped putting shorts on over the underwear and it was a little better.

Today, I remembered Jori's story of potty training boys naked from the waste down and gave it a try. I also gave them a Toy Story sticker every hour they didn't have an accident. I still had to go the bathroom with them every 15 minutes sometimes but sometimes it was every hour. AND THEY STAYED DRY FOR OVER 8 HOURS!!!! Orion had NO accidents; Sebastian had 2. I'm so freaking happy!

He CAN do it, he just is too busy playing to WANT to do it! I'd let him go naked, but then he's constantly playing with himself....and Rylee is trying to play with him too! :laughing:

If it wasn't so dang hot outside I'd toss him on the back deck naked and say "Go to it boy!"

I'm not saying it's pretty over here- they constantly are touching themselves. But I just ask them "why are you touching yourself?" and they stop. It's almost like they don't know they are doing it.

Thus far today Orion woke up dry, yay!, and they've both been accident free since wakeup (about 3.5 hours). I'm hoping to be able to put a pair of shorts on them this afternoon as we have church tomorrow and they have to wear something there. :laughing:

We are unwittingly doing the same thing here this weekend.. the boys just wanna be naked. And there is a *lot* of penis holding. Like, way more than I expected. Glad to know that there's hope ahead!

 

Oh yeah, if they ween't peeing, they were holding their penises. Really, is thatbsomething they ever outgrow? :laughing:

My sister has helped PT a bunch of kids (mostly boys) as a nanny and she recommended the naked from the waist down method too. DH wouldn't let me do it since we rent and have carpet but doing 3 Day PT with just underwear (no shorts) the first several days worked for us. Hope you continue to see good progress with your boys!

 

I could never get up the gumption to do the naked version although friends of mine here have had success.. one only had success when her dd was naked and as soon as panties were put on, it went out the window. But, Good for you for finding something that worked for you! I am so happy that my youngest is potty trained!

 

Shorts are on and there have been no problems!
