Any New Mommy-to-Be-of Twins Out There?

AKilburn: Wow, 27 weeks! I'm so anxious to know I don't think I could wait that long! I will have my 20 week structure scan on Monday so hopefully we'll be able to see, then I can start my shopping!

 

Haha! Yeah I had multiple ultrasounds with my ob and my mfm, and my boy was immediate on the anatomy scan, my girl kept her legs crossed and her legs tucked uup against her butt. They figured she was a girl bc she was hiding it but couldn't make the final call until 27weeks ... They had done abdomenal and transvaginal ultrasounds, so hopefully your twins will be more cooperative! Lol

I'm 19 wks with mono-di boys. Had a smooth tri1 now starting to feel the discimforts of pelvic pain and extreme tiredness but not sure if its because I have toddler already to chase after.
Anyone have tips for pelvic pain?

 

Hi I am nearly 11 wks expecting mono Di twins. This is my second pregnancy and both have been through Ivf. I've been having lots of lower abdominal pains - I don't remember having them with bub number 1! Waiting to hear back from my obstetrician as to whether this is normal and will be for the entire pregnancy I'm pretty excited about the twins as I am an identical twin myself hoping for girls as my 16 month old boy is pretty energetic!!

New here also. Found out about our twins at the week 20 ultrasound!!!!! Complete shocker. I'm so glad I found this website. I have been visiting often trying to find answers (and encouragement...as far as breastfeeding) to some of my questions. I've had a pretty good pregnancy thus far. Didn't have as much morning sickness as I did with my first girl. Had no idea why my belly was so big so early on. I even told my husband I thouht I was eating way too much and needed to slow it down a bit, lol. Well on July 31st we found the reason why I was so big. We are super excited for our babies arrival. I've been told I will be induced 3 weeks early on Nov 26th. Congrats to all the twin mommies out there!

 

Btw, we are expecting mono girls! :-D

Jaxy - I had the same abdominal feelings as you and even went to the hospital to get it checked. It turned out to be normal and the babies just growing growing growing! This is our first pregnancy and I had nothing to compare it to so I got nervous. Better to get checked out though is what I think. It can't hurt!

We have our 20wk detailed anatomy scan this week. We can't wait. We decided that we want them to be a surprise. Time is flying for us. I'm doing so much to the nursery now and getting ready to do the baby registries soon. My sis and my best friend are having the baby shower in late October since my sis goes to Turkey for 3 weeks in Nov and the holidays are packed with people doing things in Nov and Dec. Plus I want to not be too large and enjoy the party. ;-)

Yes the babies certainly grow quickly!! I'm 12 wks tomorrow and have my nt scan in a few days, then ultrasounds at 15, 17 & then the full morphology scan at 19 and a half weeks. We are going to find out what they are so we can be prepared since we already have a little boy
