Are Gymboree Classes manageable with taking 2 toddlers....2 1/2 years???? I want to enroll my boys but didn't know if it was a good idea taking both or not cause I didn't know how much was parent participation and if it was going to be too hard.

I've never done classes at gymboree, but we do go to a gymnastics class twice a week and my girls are 2 1/2. It's a little stressful, but they have so much fun!

I took both of my girls to Little Gym when they were 2. It was difficult, I won't lie... but manageable. Check with the Gymboree location to see if they have an assistant who helps parents. If they do, give it a try. But if it's just one teacher and a lot of moms/kids... you might want to see if you can recruit a helper. There was another set of twins in my girls' class and the mom brought grandma with her.

Something to check with, but I thought gymboree classes had to be a 1:1 ratio. No twins unless parent brought someone else.

When my girls were little and I looked into gymboree, it whad to be one adult per child, unless you did a sibling class which had kids of all ages.

My boys attended Gymboree classes from 14 months until their 3rd birthday. We were in a "pairs" class. It was designed for one parent with 2 siblings. So, while there were other twins in the group, there were also different aged siblings. So, I would call and ask if they still offer that type of class.

My husband and I alternate taking our two older boys while the other stays home with our baby. It is manageable for us. There have been a few times when I've had to choose who to go to first if they're both climbing on wooden equipment, but everything has always been fine. I know there is a "Gymboree rule" about being within arms reach of your child and obviously, you cannot do that if you have two in two different places. The owner of our particular Gymboree is usually there when we go and she has never said anything to my husband or I about being 2 on 1 (other parents have done this, too). And, she will grab one of my boys every now and then for an activity while I have the other.

I'd say familiarize yourself with the place (i.e. is it small enough to keep a good eye on both), talk with the owner/staff about this question, and request a trial class to test it out. We did a trial class before enrolling to determine if Gymboree was even something our boys would enjoy.

The boys were in Gymborree classes from 11 months to almost 3 years. I never had any issue taking them by myself. I took them to the regular classes for their age group not a sibling or family class. There was no requirement for there to be a parent/caregiver per child. There were several other sets of twins who attended with only one parent/caregiver and it was never a problem for any of us.

Thanks everyone. I called them and they didn't say anything about a ratio. They said they have several sets of twins and that they would be just fine.
