What's your kids current favorite lunch? The one you make that you know they'll eat?

Grilled cheese sandwiches have been a huge favorite recently. Prior to that it was jelly sandwiches.

Grilled cheese sandwiches, peanut butter and jelly, toast or waffles. Those seem to be the main players in our rotation.

Canned chicken mixed with miracle whip and some pepper on whole wheat. All 4 boys always rave about this. We also do chicken pasta. We use the same chicken with pasta, miracle whip and extra spicy Mrs Dash. They love this also. The best chicken I have found is at Costco.

Nutella and peanut butter sandwiches. SIGH. My kids are the pickiest kids I've ever seen.

Most anything with cheese - grilled cheese, mac and cheese, easy mac. They also love peanut butter and jelly with applesauce. As far as veggies, they will almost always eat corn or green beans. They also like most fruits.

We've been doing a lot of sunbutter and jelly sandwiches lately. I will actually make a loaf's worth of sandwiches, cut them up and stick them in the freezer for school lunch, we make them fresh on weekends. They probably eat 3-4 of these a week. I stopped buying peanut butter because I actually like the sunbutter flavor better.

They also love hummus and pita and veggie sticks for lunch.

Quesadillas. So easy! The other go-to lately is salami and cream cheese sandwiches or sunbutter and grape jelly.

Sunbutter is made from sunflower seeds. So, same thing as peanut butter, just from a different source. It's allowed in schools that don't allow peanut butter due to allergies. And it really does taste good.

Yeah, I find by Thursday I'm in a lunch rut. Yuck.

    -pbj's
    -pb fluff.
    -scrambled eggs
    -sliced turkey
    -dinner leftovers
    -mac n cheese
    -grilled cheese/tomato soup
-cr@p in a can-aka-Chef Boyardee ravioli's/spaghetti n meatballs/abcs, etc. I really only buy them when they are on sale-and use them when in a pinch. But gosh darn it-they LOVE them!
    -chx nuggets/french fries/tater tots
-fruit as long as I have it
    -yogurt/cereal bars/pretzels as the 'side'

Pasta with veggies or PB&J. Those are our 2 go-to no fail lunches.

PB&J roll-ups...they insist on helping spread the peanut butter/jelly on the tortilla and then rolling it up by themselves. :nea: It is not the cleanest operation, but they are involved

Right now it's cheese, fruit and pepperoni. (any combination of the 3). Or Mac and cheese. :)

My kids, like most this age, want the same things over and over. We alternate PBJ, tuna fish sandwiches, grilled cheese and macaroni and cheese (I make it with real cheese, not the box kind.) Anything else they will just sort of pick at!

    Our go to lunches are:

PB&J (no jelly for oldest tho, he doesn't like it)
    Cheese, crackers and summer sausage
    Ham and cheese sammies
    Leftovers, especially if it's spaghetti
    Fish sticks
    chicken nuggets
Pesto chicken w/bow tie noodles. We all LOVE this!! The pesto is kinda expensive so we only have it once a month or so.
    Anything breakfasty
    Grilled cheese
    Mac n cheese and hotdogs

That was nice to look at everyone elses list and make my own. It reminds me of lunches I had forgotten about!

PB&J's, grilled cheese and soup, scrambled eggs with bacon and cheese on a biscuit. Those are my quickie, go to lunches. The scrambled eggs are hit and miss, sometimes they'll demolish it, and sometimes they hate it.

Pasta with butter. Lately it's penne, but they also enjoy spaghetti, tortellini, and ravioli. I had some rigatoni and they both said they loved it. I'm suspecting there aren't too many pastas they don't like.

If pasta is not available, then turkey with provolone cheese usually does the trick.

My kids seem to want PB&J almost everyday, but I try to offer banana bread or muffins instead (made with whole wheat flour, flaxmeal, nuts, etc.) On weekends we often have leftovers.

Absolutely any fruit, PB&J, peas, apple sauce, oatmeal, waffles, pancakes and bread. Also a serious addiction to tomatoes at the moment, but I guess that falls under fruit!

Point for referring to tomatoes as fruit!

Your kids are eating more than mine! I swear my kids only like junk (and fruit and salad)...

We pretty much have the same thing every single day! They get a choice between PB&J, grilled cheese and mac n cheese (I'd give other options, but they never go for any of them!). And then they get fruit and usually some cut up veggies like red peppers and cucumbers. Sometimes I'll give a side of yogurt or cheese, if they have PB&J and not the grilled cheese and they didn't already have yogurt for breakfast. My daughter pretty much chooses PB&J every single day! But I feel like it's a pretty healthy lunch, and they always eat it. Makes me feel better knowing that, when they pick at dinner (which they always do!)
