I just had an appointment with a dietician. My 1-hr glucose test from a couple of weeks ago was a few points elevated and I didn't want to do the 3-hr test. So I've been doing the fingerstick blood tests 4 times/day for almost a week testing my blood sugar that way. The dietician said my scores look great and that I don't have gestational diabetes. She gave me advice on meals/snacks (how much protein, how much grains, etc) and gave overall good recommendations like keeping milk at work and drinking with lunch/snacks. I'll have to keep monitoring my blood sugar going forward since the glucose numbers tend to rise toward the end of the pregnancy, but I won't need to do as many sticks per day or week.

I'm really glad I went this route - if I had just done the 3-hr test I probably would have passed and then not addressed my diet. So I definitely recommend this path to anyone else with the option.

@jenNH congrats on making a call that works for you. While I am only a week into motherhood (and it's AWESOME), I am struck by how many requirements, challenges and opinions have been fired at me, many of which conflict with each other. I am learning that I have to stand in my own confidence and use my mommy instincts to make a call that works for me and my babies. You are taking an early start at this so you'll be so well positioned for this onslaught when your babies come. Well done!

Just had the briefest OB appointment ever. Apparently, I am an exceedingly boring twin pregnancy... I waited over an hour to see the OB for my 32 week check-up and it took her less than 10 minutes to find both baby's heart beats with the doppler, tell me my BP was great, my urine was clear, my hemoglobin fantastic in comparison to most moms only pregnant with one baby, and fill out my FMLA form. Hey, I ain't complaining. Very glad things are going so uneventfully for me with this pregnancy and hoping it stays that way for several more weeks. :)

I start appointments every 2 weeks now.

36 weeks today. Had an ultrasound, Ob and NST this week. The babies are still doing well but I can't feel them much at all, it's stressful. Anyone else? Ultrasound showed that baby A only grew 4 days of 14, which to me is scary and A grew 1 week 2 days of 14. They are both 6lbs. though. They share the placenta and said the fluid and dopplers are great so we are fine. I'm on edge but hoping things get going because I feel great physically but fear I can't grow anymore for them?

C-section is 2 weeks today if they don't come on their own time (hoping they do!)

Anyone else had less movement or knew that 1 had not really grow much near the end?
