Positive pregnancy test... day after husband's vasectomy

    Well, well, well... What are the chances?!?! I JUST found out I am pregnant with #5. The twins were kids 3 and 4 for me. I assumed at my age, in my 40's, and after having to go through IVF for my last kids, that I was pretty much not able to conceive naturally. But just in case, my husband just had a vasectomy. I'm only about 5 weeks, and have had 2 losses in the past, so I obviously can't tell anyone for a long time, but I had to share with someone, so I'm back with you ladies!

    Can you believe it????? I'm in a little bit of shock.

    Surprise!!! Congratulations!! I am 9 weeks with our fourth and final child and have yet to spread the news. It is TOUGH not saying anything!!! Hope this pregnancy is a piece of cake for you!!!! Good luck!

    Thank you all for your well wishes! I love this forum. It is nice to have somewhere to go and talk about the pregnancy, while in real life I'm going to have to wait at least seven more weeks, and wear some very baggy clothes!

    First doctor appointment today. Just to confirm with a test, and have the doctor refer me to an ob/gyn. This is really happening!!!

    That'll make a great story when the baby is old enough! I always get a kick out of telling people that my dad got a vasectomy before I was born. People seem to forget there's 9 months between conception and birth! My dad got his done when my mom was about 6 months pregnant with me.

    My husband could not be happier! We figured we're getting older, our oldest is in college, and we "should" be done... but I guess not!

    I had another doctor appointment. Growth is good and we still have a heartbeat!! I'll breathe a little easier in about 28 weeks! :D
