Its been a very long time since Ive posted here, life just seems to get more hectic....

My brother told me....."3 is far worse then 2!"

Well they just hit 3 and it is aweful!!! It started before 3....please tell me someone else is going through this and it gets better..lol!!

They fight, scream, WHINE, dont listen, "MY GONNA DO IT" is the favorite phrase, ones clogging the toilet while the other one is pooping in their underware.....it goes on and on and on....

    PLEASE help me...lol!!!

My twins are going to be 2, but my oldest is turning 4 in a few weeks, and all I have to say is THANK GOD the 3's are OVER! Now I have to look forward to my twins being 3 yr old's in about a yr. It may take me that long to recover though.

We are at the tail end of three. I can tell you that this has been one of the most toughest but at times, rewarding, years. I am just starting to see that most days the behavior is getting better as they get closer to 4. I hope 4 is a much better year!

3 year olds are just 2 year olds with a whole year of experience....something someone said to me and I found to be sooo true.

But...its better than two in that they do get a little more independant, not so much in the needy phase. But four will be just around the corner!!

haha that is good. I always say whoever said coined the phrase "Terrible 2's" never experienced the 3's.

As we approach 4's I am so grateful that they are finally beginning to play on their own and entertain their brother for a little while at my request for help. I am still frustrated at needing to ask 3,4,5x to go potty before we leave or put your jacket on but at least they have the ability to do a lot more for themselves now. hang in there!

Same here. Three for us was much worse than two. At two they did not know what they were doing was wrong. At three, they know and just do any way. :grr:

    And the attitudes

My one DS has always been a handful but he has a bigger vocabulary and tells it like it is. I have had him give me this look and when I ask what is wrong he will point at me and say "I am mad at YOU". Honestly, the thought of him as a teenager makes me :gah:

But on the flip side I can explain things to them and they understand. When DS is mean to his brother, I can talk with him and tell him why it's not nice to do that and it does seem to sink in. At two it would just go over their heads and I'd be repeating myself 1,000 times a day.

Mine were awful around 2. Then at 2 1/2 they started getting better. They'll be 3 in less than a month and oh my goodness I think I'm going to lose my mind. All I hear all day is "it's MY turn" and "I want to do it MYSELF". LOL Constant fighting. Yea it's bad. Then I have the little one who is 19 months and is hitting the terrible 2's already. Seriously think I'm going to lose it most days. LOL From my past experience (my oldest will be 20 and my stepchildren (twins) from my exhusband just turned 16) I remember 4 being the magic age. Things finally got better at 4. It's still a year away for the twins but I'm holding onto that light at the end of the tunnel. LOL

My boys are 26 months and it's rough so I am sure it's going to get rougher! My DD, was the worst at 3! This was when the twins were born. She is now 5 and I LOVE this age. She improved around 4 1/2. So, there is light at the end of the tunnel :)

I'm hanging onto that "light at the end of the tunnel" rope too! Mine aren't quite 3 yet, but 3 was a rough age with both my oldest ones, so I'm fully anticipating turning gray in the next year! Probably doesn't help that my youngest boy is such a BOY!! Already had an ER trip because we thought he broke his arm, had 3 stitches in his chin, and just the other day put his tooth all the way through his lip!! UGH!!
