Accessorize this dress!

I bought this dress from Old Navy for my girls for a wedding we are attending next weekend and I figure they can also wear it for the holidays. :good:

Since it will be getting chilly around here soon I'm trying to decide what color shrug and tights to put with it. They have some sparkly black shoes with a bow on them that still fit from last year so they'll wear those with the dress.

On the main page for the toddlers section on the ON site, it shows a little girl wearing white tights with the dress but I was thinking of having the girls wear black tights. My SIL said black tights would be too much.

So now I'm thinking white tights with it...but what color shrug? I have a white one, but would that be too much white for the fall? ardon: I'm having a hard time finding a black one. Then I thought, maybe wear the white one for the short time they will need it for the wedding and then get a red one for Christmas.

I'd do a red shrug for the wedding and save some money. I think you need some color for that outfit.

What are the wedding colors? Maybe a shrug and/or tights in that color?

Maybe a shrug in cream/ivory and the same color tights?

 

The wedding colors are purple. I would never find a shrug in that color, but that's a great idea. :good:

I'd do purple tights and a black shrug! If the wedding colour is purple, I think that would be super cute (plus I wish I could pull off purple tights, so I would like to see someone wear them.)

 

I'd do black sparkly tights. We had some last year from crazy 8 that were red with gold thread

 

I like this idea! I was going to suggest pink tights and pink shrug with a pink hair bow.

 

You want to live vicariously through my girls? :laughing: I should find the pic of them when they were 2 and wore purple tights with one of their outfits. :wub:


Great ideas ladies. Thanks, now I need to decide which route to go. :laughing: I think I'll poke around the mall this weekend and see what is out there for shrugs.

I like these. With black shoes and I'm thinking pink (or purple) for the shrug with a bow to match.
