Thank you for all the wishes. Moshe is excited, but very bewildered and overwhelmed.

The girls are just adorable, though I only saw them together in the OR. Baby B's glucose dropped very low and they had to rush her to the NICU. She also got strep B because I only got the antibiotic for it too late into labor. She's under observation now for 48 hours, but hopefully she'll be coming home with us.

I can't wait to get home and write about this wondrous birth experience.

I have photos but can't seem to post it from my iPad. If anyone's willing to give me an email address, I can email it for you to post.

What have you named them?

 

We chose names a while ago (deceased grandparents, aunts etc...), but have a naming ceremony the first sabbath after birth, in the synagogue. So after the weekend, I'll share.

 

Very cool and interesting tradition. Now do you not tell anyone their names?

 

Likely just very close family.

 

Generally, we don't. Though usually it's grandparents first, so it's just a matter of which grandparent. Also, being that it's family names, we often have loads of first cousins with the same names.

 

Esther, Congratulations!! Like everyone else here, I have been watching for you post and praying for healthy momma and babies. Hope you bring them both home with you soon!!
