The girls have these dresses which they wore for Easter with a white sweater, white tights, and white sandals. It was still snowing and cold here then. We are going to a wedding tomorrow and I'd like them to wear the dresses again. It will be hot out, but we will be inside for the ceremony and the reception. I was thinking I'd bring the sweaters along in case the air conditioning is chilly. Should I have them wear tights? I think it looks nicest with tights, but is it strange to have them wear tights when it's so hot out? Should I just have them go with bare legs?

I think it will still look fine with no tights. :) It's hot, it's summer... You can always bring the tights in case they complain of being cold, but I think it will look just fine! :good: And I love the dress! :)

I think the dresses would look adorable with bare legs and sandals. Even with a sweater in case the girls get chilly, it would look very nice. I personally wouldn't wear tights/pantyhose to a summer wedding, so I think that's absolutely appropriate for young girls.

Thanks. I thought it would probably look fine, but I needed confirmation from people who are better at this than I am. :) I'm just a little jealous that I have to wear pantyhose and they don't. My dress is too short to get by with my stark white icky legs.

That's what they make self-tanner for!

I agree, bare legs with their sandals. They will look so cute!

If I were you I wouldn't wear pantyhose either! I went to a black tie wedding a month ago and not one single person was wearing pantyhose. Self-tanner if you feel the need, or else just show off that healthy pale skin!

DH specifically asked me to go buy a little black dress. I NEVER wear dresses, so I actually had to go buy one yesterday. I don't know about no panty hose. I'm not sure I can pull it off. Here'sthe dress I got: It's no where near that short on me. I think my legs are about a foot shorter than that model's, so it comes just above my knee. I even bought *gasp* heels to go with it.

Definitely bare legs for the girls and, if it were me, I would also have bare legs. But, then, I haven't worn pantyhose in more years than I can count!

The girls dresses are so cute! Ahhh I want a girl!

Your dress is very nice and I would vote for no pantyhose as well with the cute open toe shoes you bought but wear what makes you most comfortable for sure!

No tights for the girls and no panty hose for you either is the way to go. It seems like people don't wear panty hose as much any more. I haven't worn them in years. Use self tanner if you are concerned about your white legs. Hope you all have fun!

If you're feeling self conscious (which I get, I'm Casper-white) try the spray on tanner that Sally Hansen makes. I used it for a wedding and it looked great. It's like make-up for your legs! But be sure to spray it on while naked and then rub a towel all over to wipe up excess or you'll tan the seats of your car. And the venue. And your husband's lap. ... ;)
