    Hi everyone,

Im a 22 year old first time mummy who accidentally dove head on into the mothering world (giving birth to one baby would have been a blessing- then came the rest)
The two oldest came home within a week after birth and the youngest remained in NICU until they were just over 3 weeks. having them all home has been a crazy roller coaster (I love it, but im not going to lie and say its all been amazing and beautiful)

their names are Zia, Dexter, Olive and Daisy and they are rapidly approaching 7 months old.

I have a bucket load of questions (or pleas for help from other mummies a in similar situation) this place seems like a god sent!

    thanks for having us!

Wow, welcome and congrats! I'm not sure how many moms of quads are on here, I know there is at least 1 mom of older triplets, though. :)

You might want to change your Lilypie ticker of that babies birthdate (maybe a typo?) because according to their birthdate they are just 3.5 months old and according to the Lilypie ticker they are 6.5 months old. :) It is always helpful to know how old the babies are when other posters are answering questions because so many answers vary based up on the ages of the babies.

    I love their names! :)

Wow..congrats! So how far along were you when you gave birth? How early did you find out it was quads? How was the pregnancy?

    Welcome :)

Wow! I don't blame you for thinking it's not all roses and sunshine- 4 at once has got to be amazing and difficult at the same time. Welcome to TS!

Congratulations on your babies! Wow, 4? I hope you have some help - like a mother or somebody who helps you on a regular basis. I know how hard it was with just 2 babies in the begining, but when I'm thinking about what you must have gone through I'm realizing I should shut up :). Welcome to Twinstuff, I hope you like it.

:wavey: Welcome to Twinstuff! Congratulations on your babies.

I'm thinking that maybe she's using a non-American way of writing out their birthdate: day/month/year not month/day/year, so their birthday is the 4th January-that's the way dates are normally written here (UK) and I'm sure other places as well. :)

We just made it to 30 weeks. Found out fairly early on that we were having more than one, quads were confirmed at the 20 week ultrasound.

thanks! I have my lovely partner helping before/after work and we also have a live-in nanny. there is absolutely no way in the world I could do this alone!

thats right :) the quads are approaching 7 months!

yes! we were very luck. they came home way earlier than expected. But it wasnt all smooth running from there on.
Dexter was rushed back to hospital two weeks later when he stopped breathing/ Stayed for 3 weeks and was diagnosed with cortical visual impairment and cerebral palsy. scary stuff!

Your quads were born at 30 weeks and two came home a week later. That's amazing because even singletons born at 30 weeks are considered very premature and you should expect weeks of NICU stay. What was their weight when they were born? My girls were born at 35 weeks and couldn't even regulate their body temp. We had to be very viligent about things and the hospital almost put them in NICU just because of that alone.

Wow!!! Where are you living, you had quads confirmed at 20 weeks? I am so surprised you were not monitored at the beginning when you found out is was more than one? I was pg with quads and they did weekly u/s to check? Those u/s at 20 weeks must have been so hard to get a pic of all four!
That sounds scary that he stopped breathing. Have they had any other issues. You are very lucky to get such an early discharge...mine were 28 weekers and spent 2 and 3 mos in. Did they have good weights?
