My girls are starting to outgrow baby shampoo/conditioner, but still get upset about soap in their eyes..

By that I mean their hair is drying out when I use it, I have to use adult (usually H&S) conditioner to make their hair not feel like straw after I've already used Suave 2 n 1 shampoo/conditioner..

What works for your girls?? Especially if they have long, thin and suseptibly(Sp?) stringy hair

I use organix tea tree mint. The tea tree oil wards against lice since they are starting kindergarten. I wash their hair so we don't have issues with it getting in their eyes

I use the childrens sauve 2 in 1 shampoo on my girls' hair and then follow with conditioner alone (whatever I have for myself, pantene, herbal essence, suave). I only put the conditioner on the ends so there is little chance it will get in their eyes.

I use Herbal essence shampoo for long hair and then use herbal essence conditioner (I think it's also for long hair). That's what I have right now but when that is out then I will go to something else depending on the price. Right now with her swimming everyday her hair is all dried out from the pool. I do sometimes use the 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner for kids on her but then I follow up with conditioner again.

We do this too. Except I use the adult leave in conditioner on them.

We use one of those fruit-smelly kids' shampoos (I think it's Suave -- strawberry or mango). They complain like heck when it gets in their eyes -- I have to keep a hand towel within reach because they are demanding to wipe their eyes every 30 seconds. But other than that, they don't make too much of a fuss about hair washing, so I try to count my blessings.

I use Pantene "thick and curly" conditioner on both of them. Neither of them has really curly hair, but it is pretty thick, and that's what I use on myself so I always have it on hand. Plus, I like the smell.

I use Suave kids also with adult conditioner just on the back/ends. It works fine on my girl with the fine hair but for my other chick with super thick hair, I've noticed it's not enough.

We have the eye wipers here too Alden.

The Suave 2 in 1 for kids and then I follow up with one of their conditioners or some adult conditioner. Last year, I switched to Fairytales Rosemary Repel shampoo and conditioner after yet another lice incident with DD1 (8 yrs. old) and now I use that b/c I love it and so do both my girls. DS still uses the Suave for the most part.

We haave a hand towel within reach here too...gets darn annoying when a single drip is on their forehead and they are screaming for a towel. I usually use teh Suave 2 in 1, but since running out, I just use whatever I have. I've never used conditioner on their hair just by itself because their hair is very thin.

My girls have super thick hair which can be a pain! I use the 2-1 shampoo/conditioner and then additional conditioner. We also use the spray on tangle free type conditioners when their hair is dry to comb/brush it.

My dd has super thick hair as well, it's fine, but thick. I use Dove shampoo and conditioner on her, have been for about 2 yrs now. Dove is the only kind I can use so that's what I have on hand. I have spray on conditioner and this cream/serum for staticky hair that I use when her hair is going wild with static.

We use the Suave 2 in 1 and then follow it up with my conditioner.

Ok, I have a boy and his hair is short but we've been experiencing the same problem. Since I couldn't stand the straw hair, I took it upon myself to teach him how to take a shower without getting soap in his eyes. It is easier for us because we have the hand held shower heads so he can spray the water against his face rather than towards. I spent 2 days in there teaching him and his hair is SOOOO much softer now (he is using Pantene Medium Thick Shampoo/Conditioner since his hair is thick like mine).

This may sound funny, but my girls love being in the pool but hate the bathtuub/shower, so I started letting them wear their goggles in the shower, and now they love getting their hair washed.

    Just a thought.

I use what ever I have, I try different stuff all the time and what I dont like for my hair I just use for them, right now I am using Bed Head shampoo and conditioner (for the girls). I just tell them to close their eyes super tight and rinse it with a big cup and tell them when they can open, seems to work.
My 7yo is doing pretty well just getting started taking showers and washing her own hair.

I just bought them Fructis natural and Abby gets Suave conditioner in after that...I may look into the Fairytales once this bottle is gone since they are starting K
