This Week's Appointments July 18-22

have our nst this morning and then our ob appointment on wednesday. =) Lets just hope this NST has no hiccups like the last one

 

My wife and I had our first ultrasound yesterday. Everybody looks happy and healthy at this point. We're 13 weeks along, but the babies are measuring at over 14 weeks!

Baby A is 79.5 mm and Baby B is 74.5 mm.

And the doc said that he was about 90-95% sure on Baby A and 98% sure on Baby B, but it sounds like we're having a girl and a boy! That's what I was hoping for so I'm VERY excited. Haven't stopped smiling since then. My baby boy is already VERY active. He was moving all over the place. My baby girl was a little more difficult. No surprise. She was comfortable lying on her side and didn't feel like moving just because the tech needed to get some measurements. But she eventually cooperated. She even reached up and touched her face at one point. Too cute. Amazing to watch.

We have a 2 1/2 year old boy already. So the news of twins originally had us floored for a bit. My wife is still trying to come to grips with it. But I'm becoming more and more excited!

 

NST went smooth on Monday and then our regular appointment today my bp was WAY high so of course they took a urine sample to test for protiene and sent me to the hospital to monitor my bp which stayed normal and they took some blood which came back fine too. But i think if my bp continues like this then We may have the girls with in the next week or two.
