I'm 15 weeks today and woke up with a feeling between my upper inner thighs like I had a very strenuous workout yesterday. It hasn't gone away through the day. Did anyone experience this or know what it is?

I did, I can't remember anything not hurting with the girls. I had no pains with my son (my first pregnancy), but with the girls, they were hard on the 'ole body. Tremendous amount of thigh, lower back, and lower abdomen pain all the way through.

Is it in the groin area? It might be the beginnings of SPD, but it is rather early for this I think.

yep I always felt like I had been doing the splits and yeah it then leads to groin pain :( like others said everything will hurt at some point, as one thing another starts, lol! But just know it is normal and will be worth it!!! You could put a heating pad wrapped around a pillow on LOW between your legs or ice for no more than 20 min at a time which ever is more soothing.Good luck!

Thanks! I've read about SPD but I was thinking it was waaaayyyyy too early for that. I had just started sleeping with a pillow between my legs at night so I think I will stop that and see if it goes away. It just seems a weird coincindence that it would start a few days after I started using this pillow. Also, I'll try the heating pad suggestion. Thanks again!

I had awful SPD last time around and it started fairly early as well. I stopped sleeping in a bed in the early 20 weeks because it was simply impossible to handle the pain, so I slept on a recliner. This time around, I was adamant to try and at least lessen the pain, if at all possible.

I was very mindful about my movements, and how I slept and as of now, I get slight pains, similar to last time, but nowhere near as painful. I never slept fully on my side, but sort of towards my belly, with the upper thigh forward, so that my pelvis/hip was at a tilt. It's difficult to explain, but I hope you got the picture. The bottom line is that I'm usually fine, except if during the night, I end up completely on my side. Then I wake up with the same old pain. So it seems to me that to some degree, it can be kept in check.

I'm 31 weeks now but I've had SPD since very early days, it got so bad at times that I couldn't even walk up the stairs. I found it was worse at night and especially if I had had a busy day.

I ended up buying a SPD support band a couple of months ago (you can get them from physiotherapists but I got mine online) and it really has helped a lot. It hasn't completely taken the pain but it's relieved it a lot.
