Alrighty. So my duo are wonderfully on my nerves as we speak. We went to a playdate at my friends house who has a one year old. The boys, Nicholas really, was starting to get fresh at the end. I talked to dh on the phone on the way home, and told them to be quiet while doing so. Anthony was mumbling, which made Nicholas SCREAM at him because MOMMY IS ON THE PHONE ANTHONY. BE QUUUUUUIIIIETTTTT! MOMMY!!!! ANTHONY IS NOT BEING QUIET!!!!!"

    O.

    M.

    G!!!

So I'm beyond flustered with the two as it is. Then bring them upstairs for a late nap. Anthony forgets his blanket downstairs so I go down and open the gate for him. I reach the bottom of the stairs with Anthony, and what do I hear upstairs?????

    $%^#@&* MOMMY!

    :woah: :hush: :faint:

Oops. Right context and all. I have said it before, but I *really* need to watch my language! Oy!!! But on the other hand, man did it give me a chuckle at the bottom of the stairs!

Roycie mutters swears under his breath like his dad. Alice is more forthright like me, saying things like "F***ing cat" and my favorite "I'ma put a boot in your p*ssy, P*ssy."

I just tell them whenever they say them, that they are adult words and they can say them when they get older. At least I've managed to write the "C" word mostly out of my vocabulary.

    But this is me lately.

Hee! I am glad my boys won't be the only ones with a vocabulary that could make a sailor blush.

the other day Ian fell off the curb and thought his sister pushed him - he turned around and told her "f*cking A Abigail" :)

I know. I have managed to clean up my language a lot. When your 3 year old announces to all of the in-laws, "Mommy and Daddy are getting the boys out of the car but, it is harder because mom had to turn the carseats the other freaking damned way." It is embarassing. Gratefully I those are the words I used but, some of my inlaws are very religious. On the other hand by DH is a cop so you can imagine the words they pick up from him.

This afternoon one of the twins went into their room (I was reorganizing clothes, etc.) and J comes in and says "look at all the Sh*t in here! What a mess!"

The other day while I was doing Ivy's hair she muttered "Jesus Christ," under her breath as I was trying to untangle a bad knot. I am pretty good about not swearing in front of the kids, but when I'm about to lose it I often mutter "Jesus Christ" exactly the way she did - lucky she didn't pick up on my favorite variation, "Jesus f***ing Christ"!

And then she asked me, "Mommy, what's Christ?" Which is a whole other can of worms, since we're atheist, and none of our friends/nearby family are religious, so it simply hasn't come up yet!

It would have been a very teachable moment with potential for very interesting conversation IF WE WEREN'T ALREADY 15 MINUTES LATE FOR SCHOOL AND I HADN'T EVEN HAD A SIP OF COFFEE YET BLRRGGHHH!
