We found out the sexes.... Q's

Well lit appears that I will have 3 boys in my life (plus daddy). Our twins are B/B and we have a giant fused anterior placenta Both boys weighed 9 oz at 18w6d which seems a little small to me. I am happy but still sad that there will be no party dresses or pigtails in my house. My son just turned 15 months so this will be be a wild ride for sure!! Can anyone tell me if a fused placenta means anything and since they have a serperating memb. does that for sure mean fraternal??

 

It can still be identical, sounds like you might need to give it some time to see. The one good thing is that your doctors should be doing more ultrasounds due to the fused placentas so you will be able to watch their growth and make sure it's moving up like it should. My girls were about 11-12 ounces at just over 20 weeks so I don't think your boys are small.

Congrats on boys, by the way. I know it's overwhelming to find out you are having a second and third of the same, especially if you aren't having more after that like me and my husband. It took me awhile to be ok with the fact that I wouldn't ever have a son but I'm just thrilled now that my babies are healthy and almost here and I know you will be there too.

As PP said, a fused placenta can be either fraternal or identical - you will have to wait until birth to find out for sure.

 

As you know boys are a ton of fun. I grieved not having a girl, too; but am loving their rough and tumble nature.

 

I also have 3 boys, my oldest is 2 yrs older then the twins. 3 boys is DEF busy but I love it. As for frat vs ID, you'll have to wait and see unfortunately.

We will get ultrasounds about every 4 weeks now. I honestly hope they are not identical I would much prefer being able to tell them apart! From the anatamy scan it is scary how their head shape and chins look just like Declan already!!

 

I understand being a bit bummed about the gender. We're having our 3rd and 4th boys with this pregnancy. I SOOO wanted at least one little girl. It's taken me a while, but I'm getting more excited about these babies lately. LIfe will sure be exciting with all of these boys, that's for sure!

I'm pg with my 3rd boy. I was a little bummed but ONLY because I won't ever get to buy any pink! That's truly the ONLY reason! Ha ha. Kinda silly so I'm getting over it!
