Well my name Jessica and we are expecting our first set of twins! I am 12 weeks and a day along, and I am really concerned that my ob is not taking this seriously! This is my 4th pregnancy and I have had 3 uti's already back to back. They have only performed one ultrasound and that was at 7 weeks. They have not offered any other! So next wednesday I go to a new ob that hopefully will take me a little more seriously!
I am also the mother of 3 wonderful kiddos, a 6 yr old boy, 3 yr old girl and a 15 months old girl! They are my pride and joy and I hope that the twins will fit right into the mix of my crazy but enjoyable family!!!

Welcome! If the doctor that you switch to doesn't seem like they are concerned enough perhaps you should ask why? A lot of doctors treat twin mothers like regular pregnant patients unless there is an issue found. The argument then is, how would they know? I have someone on my regular baby site who only had one ultrasound at 13 weeks and one at 20 and that's it. She's going for more now because it's the end of her pregnancy and she is switching to another doctor for that part.

You can also ask about your OB working together with a perinatal doctor, that way you have someone with lots of experience with twins helping you.

Welcome! And congrats! Yeah you have to find the right OB if you aren't comfortable with their handling of twins! Mine treated me like a singleton up until 20 weeks when I started seeing the peri I'm under a co-managed plan. But I knew that was the plan since the beginning when we found out twins at 6 weeks! My coworker that worked at an OB office said that's what they did too unless an issue. I did have a recent miscarriage in my history, then with these kiddos a subchorionic hematoma, but other than that emergency ultrasound at 7 weeks because of the bleed I had another at 13 wks for NT but that's optional, and then the next u/s at 20 wks with the peri.

Welcome and congrats! I switched through the docs until I found one I liked... you spend a fair amount of time with the person you may as well be comfortable with them. ;)

    Welcome to TS! :D
As the previous posters said, you definitely need an OB who will listen to you and whom you trust. I hope everything goes well with the new OB and I hope you have a smooth pregnancy.

Welcome to TS and congrats! I had one ultrasound at around 7 weeks and my second at 20 weeks. I then had one every 3-4 weeks because of a size difference in the boys and them being mono/di. Good luck all doctors are different.

Oh, and I should add that I had an ultrasound at 7 weeks for dating where we found the twins... but didn't have another until the 13 week NT scan. Are you going to have that ultrasound? Very frequent ultrasounds shouldn't be necessary this early in the pregnancy. I got them once a month through most of my pregnancy, starting at the NT scan, and now I have them every other week.

They never even offered the nt scan! So hopefully the new ob will! I will be sure to ask about it at this appt. Thank you!

I never had an NT scan, for my son or my twins. I know in Canada typically you get one at 20 weeks, thats it. The only reason why with my first I had one around 8 weeks is because I had a severe allergic reaction and they were afraid I would miscarry. With the twins I had one around 7 weeks because I was bleeding and they thought I was miscarrying.

I would ask about it! It goes hand in hand with the genetic tests they do as well! And if your twins are identical, most OBs do bimonthly checks on them, at least that is what mine does, and from what I have read :)
