Me and the girls were in the dining room playing with the dog this morning and I left them to it while I went to make breakfast. When I peeked in to see how they were doing, DD was sitting next to a big pile of dog puke! Apparently the dog threw up and I didn't hear her. I started freaking out! I got DD out of there and washed her hands and cleaned up the floor but I am freaking out! I'm hoping that she didn't eat it, but she puts EVERYTHING in her mouth. It's so disgusting and I don't know what to do! She just got over a serious bout of rotavirus and I'm so afraid she's gonna get sick again! I feel like a horrible mother! :gah:

Don't feel bad, it happened to me too

I found my DS5 eating cat puke when he was a baby. So gross, lol. He was fine though, never got sick or anything.

Babies are pretty resilient! One of mine ate something similar one day and it wasn't puke! EWWWWWW!

Don't feel bad. When my DD2 was just a few months old I left her to go get some more wipes. She wasn't rolling around much so I left a dirty diaper well out of her reach. Well that's the day she did a double roll and I came back in (no joke 30 secs later) to her eating her own poop. I freaked a bit and cleaned her up. The other day (she's 2.5 now) she ate dirt, mud, chalk, and tried to eat a paint chip.

When mine were about 1.5-2 years old we had my moms litter of puppies at the our house. They were in a whelping box with a gate around them and the box was ALWAYS clean but some how a piece of puppy poop got with in reach of the boys and it went right into their mouth. I went and puked but they were fine.

Thanks everyone! I'm glad I'm not the only one something like this has happened to! It doesn't seem to have affected her so I'm just going to try and forget it happened. I'm really hoping against it, but I'm sure this is not the grossest thing that will happen :)!
