Fun with eating like big boys...

Okay so I will admit it. I've been procrastinating with the whole feeding yourselves with plates/bowls and utensils because I didn't want to deal with the impending explosions of food everywhere but to my surprise the mess was contained and the idea is there but the delivery method is still a work in progress. I think these are too funny...

This is how Alex eats like a grown up. I sure hope he learns manners soon or he's going to have a hard time with the ladies.

And these are River's table manners. Pay attention to the very end. This is going to be fun!
Notice that his fork stays in the bowl the entire time.
    River's turn.

I had to share this with you guys. This is my son River, 20 months, taken a few days ago. His brother was off and playing but this little guy was just fighting to stay awake until he finally lost the fight and was startled by a rude awakening.

Kristine-- your videos are WONDERFUL! I also watched the other two and I was laughing out loud at the 'falling asleep' one. Thanks for sharing.

Aww thanks. I pretty much either take pictures of everything or videos so needless to say their lives are very well documented. :)
I did submit the one with River falling asleep to America's Funniest Home Movies so we shall see :)

    And thanks everyone :)

That's so funny your little boy actually took the food off the fork to eat it with his fingers. I have one that does that too :) Absolutely no interest in eating with utensils!

I know, right? And the other one had the fork in his bowl but decided to put his hand in the bowl and eat the mac n cheese one at a time with his fingers. Hopefully they will learn before they hit puberty!

Your boys are doing really well self-feeding! :good: My guys *still* (at over 2.5 years old) will take things off their forks and eat them with their fingers.

Thanks. They try I know that much but for the most part it's all about grabbing a fist full of food and shoving as much of it as possible into their mouths...yep, those are my boys...gotta love em'! lol
