Oh, the trials of first grade

I just have to laugh. St. Patrick's Day is Thursday, and it's also the kids' one and only field trip this year. Because it's the field trip day, they HAVE to wear tie-dye shirts they each made with their own classes, neither of which were green. Sarah's is purple and Timothy's is blue. Then, we were just going to layer a long-sleeve tee under the short sleeve tie-dye, but our temperature are going to be 75+ degrees that day. The field trip is ice skating, so they have to wear pants anyway, and I didn't want them any warmer at afternoon recess. So, this morning we've finally settled. Timothy is wearing his tie-dye with his green camo hunting pants. Sarah is wearing jeans, purple tie-dye and a bright green ponytail wrap thing.

Oh the joys of first grade fashion.

And isn't it great when the only thing to worry about in your world is how to work green into tie-dye.

My kids are so excited for Thursday! They have been talking about St. Patrick's Day for weeks now!

Hope they enjoy their field trip!

God forbid they not have green on. Our schools are in spring break so at least we don't have to deal with that

LOL, I need to go through my son's wardrobe and hope he has something green to wear or I am going to hear it. Glad they found something to settle on.
