I am truly amazed at these stats. Such great birth weights, gestation lengths, and the amount of babies with no NICU is astounding. Way to go twin mommies and babies!!!!

Days in the NICU: none, but they spent 30 days (A) and 10 days (B) as feeder/growers in the Intermediate Care nursery - no medical intervention.

I moved to a very high altitude right as I got pregnant, which is why my girls were so small for their gestational age.

 

Thank you for providing this!!! Made my rest easier when pregnant.

we were in the normal birth wing for 3 days post birth but they moved them to the NICU because they weren't eating. Baby B stayed just so he could eat but wasn't hooked up to anything.

 

delivered joey (baby a, 2lb 5oz--54 days nights in nicu) and henry (baby b, same wt, 73 nights in nicu) at 27weeks, 5 days. healthy and happy now!!

Days in the NICU: 9 days- 3 days in a small room off the regular nursery in incubators, and 6 days in the regular nursery, but moved nightly to the small room to have more quiet for sleep (in the hospital roller bassinet things))- assigned to a neonatologist (feeders & growers)...not sure if this even really counts as NICU- they were never moved to the actual NICU unit located in the adjoining hospital. They just had to be partially gavage fed and maintain their body temps.

 

It would be interesting to see how many of the planned c-sections ended in nicu time.
