Sang to the tune of "shake your booty"

    Squirt squirt squirt
    squirt squirt squirt
    from my penis
    from my penis

So day one, not terrible. I think we finally found some sort of currency for him, he's still not super excited to pee or poop in the potty, but will grudgingly do it for gummyworms. We only went through like 7 pairs of underwear and 5 pairs of pants. We did have to do a few errands and put him in pullups for the errands, but I he complained about being in them, he wanted to wear underwear.

Skip the underwear for errands and use a lot of "look there is a potty, just tell me if you have to go and we can go". Aaron did better out with telling me than he did at home. Good luck! I would pee in the potty for orange or green gummy worms.

Alice hasn't had candy for going potty in a very long time and all day today she kept going, then coming up and saying, "Can I have a gummyworm please? I went peepee too!" And then when Royce would go, she would get all excited, "Roycie, you are awesome! You get a gummyworm!" I wanted to tell her that she's stealing my lines!!

Then, the awwww moment. Roycie came up to me and said, "Mommy, are you happy that I'm peeing in the potty?" I had told him that I was sad that he wasn't going to be able to go swimming this summer or play sports in a pull up (which is true, public pools don't like pullups!)

 Now I'm going to be singing that ALL day!

Great start for Royce and maybe having Alice cheer him on with be the added boost he needs (I've found peer pressure to be a great motivator for my girls).

I need to borrow Alice when H&J train. She has some awesome lines :)

I hope he has continued the trend!

If Alice starts to fuss that she is not getting any treats for peeing in the potty, maybe they both could get a gummyworm everytime Royce pees in the potty??

At the end of January, DS had surgery to correct his hypospadias and he had to go back into diapers for a week while it healed with a catheter. We had to resort to rewards for peeing in the potty again for a few days to get DS back into underwear. During that time, both DD and DS would get an M&M every time DS peed...and DD just got the standard "hooray! you did it!" when she went. She was fine with that compromise :)

I think pee songs are great! I may need to just start singing them around my house for fun. :)

Alice sounds so sweet. What a good seester.

Oh yeah, so the deed is pretty much done. He's spent 3 days in underwear, he's pooped more times that I can count, and only had one accident yesterday. So, knock wood, I think we're done with the rough part. At least during the day. We'll do what we did with Alice for night training, nothing in particular. Just let him wear pull ups until they're consistently dry in the morning.

Oh my goodness, he asked to wear underwear to bed last night. He was still dry at 4:30 when I got up this morning.

hahaha, I got home yesterday to find dirty sheets in the laundry hamper.

So between 4:30 and 7:00, he wet the bed. But apparently not too badly "only a small puddle", this being the child that will explode out of a night time pull up more nights than not. He did have an accident at school yesterday, but that goes with the territory. I'm very proud of him. And I can't wait for this bag of "gummylurms" to be done with.
