Here is what happened. Our babysitter been taking care of the boys since November. We found her from craigslist. She has been a blessing to us. She had been working toward getting her licsence with the state. And both DH and I been very supportive of that. She had gotten Colin (2) partly potty train and Colin is doing really well with her and just learning alot. She also take great care of the twins and they are doing so well too. So last thursday when DH drop the boys off at her house. Nobody was there (DH went back later on the day found note on the door staying facilities is close till I get my state liscene.) According to state of GA, she cannot keep more than two kids for pay if not licences with the state. Luckily, my MIL left work and took care of the boys for the day and I call out on friday. So we a temporary arrangement for kids and they started today. So we will see how it goes. Poor Colin he is asking about Ms. Susie(the sitter) all weekend long and even this morning on our way to the new sitter. I am really leaning towards going back to her after she opens up again. However, something inside of me told me to keep rethink..........any thoughts:aggressive:?

I would have serious issues with no phone call or warning! That is totally unacceptable and would make me question her reliabilty in the future. I would look for something else for sure.
    Good luck.

I would say you're okay if you have had some contact with her since and she can explain why she just closed her doors without tell you first. Of course we know why she had to shut down but why didn't she call you instead of letting your DH just show up and find her closed? If she hasn't contacted you at all then I would be thinking about another sitter.

I would assume if she closed without notice, that someone must have reported her. This would concern me. I'd probably look for a new child care provider.

Hi - I agree with some of the previous posts - I would find a new sitter. I'm guessing that she has had some notice that she would be shut down, and even if she didn't have notice she definitely owed you a phone call. If it was a sudden closure with no notice, then I agree that someone has reported her and in that case there would have been a reason that they did that. Just my 2-cents.

Good luck - I hope you find someone else that your son likes.

Geez I didn't think about her being shut down because someone reported her. If it was because of her size she would have had notice. Then she could have told you ahead of time. I change my answer...I would find a new sitter.
