    Hi,

Our twins are 5 month old, they are big and tall for their age, and they are starting to fill their baby tub. I am thinking to start giving them baths in the bathtub using bath seats soon. This way I am thinking I can put both of them in at the same time so I don't have to rush the one to get to the other. They both LOVE bath time so I am thinking this way they would enjoy to be in the water longer and it would be more fun for everyone, plus maybe it would get them more tired so they would fall asleep easier after. Of course I am planning on being there with them all the time.

Both of them can sit assisted and they are able to lift themselves and sort of sit a bit, but not for too long. Do I have to wait until both of them can sit unassisted for a long time or can we start even before? Looking on Amazon, I see they have a variety of seats, which one would you recommend?

    Thank you,

    Monica

Haha enjoy it when it lasts. Pretty soon you will hate bath time when all it happens is water splashing!!! Good luck mamas!

Haha, thanks for encouraging me. Vanessa already discovered splashing and she thinks it's funny and she laughs and splashes constantly, she started it last weekend. I still think it's cute, but like you said, I am sure it will get old soon :).

Wyatt is an expert splasher LOL. Right now I put about an inch or inch and a half of water in the big tub and they take turns laying on their backs in the water and Wyatt goes to TOWN kicking and splashing with his arms, by the time his bath is over I am soaked the floor is soaked and there is more like 1/2 an inch of water left in the tub LOL

Thanks! :) As far as the splashing goes, Ella has discovered it and LOVES it! I just sit next to the tub on a little step stool with a towel and when she gets going I hold it up so none of the water comes out of the tub. :)

Oh yeah that happy and excited feeling when they did it first time. Hahah :)

It will get 'BETTER' when they get stronger and can control their hands legs better haha.

I used to wipe off entire bathroom every time I gave them bath. Now I let my husband handle the bath time. He gives them very very quick bath in their infant tub (they only sit) washs off hands, butts then get out. It works better this way.I let them play in the big tub like 1/week hehe I know mean mommy

I was sitting there last night watching Wyatt splash his little heart out thinking I need a totally see through shower curtain that I could pull closed a little so at least the whole room wouldn't be underwater.

We use laundry baskets to contain the kids in the bath...we have 2 rectangular ones that fit end to end in the bath and the water gets in thru the holes.

This might make me a bad mom, but we used the Bumbo seats. As long as I kept the water level right at the bottom of the leg holes, it wouldn't float. And that was with one twin who moves non.stop.all.the.time. E started really arching his back a few weeks after we started using the Bumbos, but then he was sitting unassisted and could sit in the tub by himself.

We do the same thing and give the boys some time at the end of their bath to lay down and kick. Chase LOVES it! I hear you on the entire bathroom being soaked!
