My 17th old have been on a small sippy of milk before bed. I can't remember exactly, but I recall with my first child, we moved to a sippy of water at some point.

I think they are getting "enough" milk during the day...breakfast, lunch and dinner (water for snack).

Any feedback on this out there?

I think you can do it anytime you want, especially if you feel that they get enough milk during the day. My two at 17-18months got milk with breakfast and an hour before bed time...and had water throughout the rest of day. As they got closer to two, we moved the night time milk sippy to closer to after dinner. Good luck!

My boys havent gotten milk before bed since they were about 8 months old, my oldest was 4 months. It really depends on you. If you think they dont really need it, then offer them water.

i agree - i think anytime would be fine. it was around 15 months or so that my girls stopped nursing before bed. for a while they just had a drink with dinner & that was it. now my girls have a sippy of water in their room overnight with them. we started that at around 20 months i think.

Same here, the girls were 8 months old. My oldest was 16 months though before we stopped his bedtime bottle.

Heh, my guys *still* get a sippy of warmed milk before bed! :D It's part of our bedtime ritual, and they don't drink very much usually, so I probably could ditch it. They drink it while we read a story, and afterward we brush their teeth.

So it's really up to you when you want to stop! :)

We do a cup of milk about thirty minutes before bed. I don't have any plans to give it up any specific time. The girls brush their teeth after it and they only get milk twice a day for about 16-18 ounces total. They sleep 13.5 hours a night so I like giving them a little something to fill their tummies before bed

Mine are getting it still about 30 mins before bed too. We are almost 23 months. I have not really thought about when to give it up.

Our guys still get a sippy of milk about 30 min before bed too at 20 months. Its just part of their bedtime routine and they only drink 4-6 oz then. I don't plan to give it up anytime soon especially since they don't drink much milk throughout the day. But if your LOs do and you want to stop it go for it :)
