Intro and Question

    Hello!
    I am new!
    We found out three weeks ago that we are expecting precious twins! We have six beautiful children so these little ones will be number 7 and number 8. We find out their gender in a week and I can't wait!! I am 17 weeks 1 day today- due July 7th.

    In the meantime- I have developed a yeast infection. :(
    I tried a one day monistat (despise days long dealing with medicines) and my OB prescribed diflucan today. I have some concerns that I could have an issue with thrush in the future if I don't REALLY take care of the yeast...
    but I am also concerned that Diflucan might not be a good option during pregnancy.
    Does anyone have any experience or tips?

    Hello and welcome! I'm fairly new here too!

    Wow, 7&8! I'm overwhelmed with the thought of 1&2!!

    Our Twins also made 7 & 8!! I had some yeast early on.. I did the one diflucan pill and no other issues at all. I just took a good probiotic the remainder of the pregnancy! Good luck.

    I also had yeast early on and took Diflucan with no issues....

    Thank you so much!
    Husband is bringing home the diflucan tonight.

    I think I would be overwhelmed too if these babies were numbers 1 and 2 for me. ;)

    And some things do feel a little overwhelming...
    but overall there is just a general sense of great excitement, anticipation, and blessing!

    My number six child will be three- and I think that makes a big difference too.

    Our number 6 child also turned 3 just before the twins came but it was a challenge for her going from being the baby!

    Yes- not being the baby anymore- I can see that being hard on my little guy!

    I guess in some ways- it is always hard. Each in their own different way...

    Thank you all so much! I think I am still in "shock" that I am actually here. Such a total surprise!

    The twin "hormones" and emotions are a force to be reckoned with for me.

    Maybe I will post another thread about that!

    Today- I am so teary over so many things.

    Hello and Welcome!

    Just wanted to second the probiotics that (I think) MomOf6 mentioned. I find taking lots of acidophillus during pregnancy and afterwards helps me - and I am prone to frequent yeast infections. It also worked wonders on the babies bums whenever they had yeast-related rashes.
