Yesterday morning, my dh put my son on the bed turned around took a diaper. He rolled/whatever off the bed.I was about to go to work. Suddenly I heard big noise and Nolan screamed. I ran up stair. He was so frightened and held his dad so tight.my heart broke down...last night I noticed Nolan crawled so weird. When I gave him bath, I saw a bruise on his leg big one.I bet it hurts still. I feel so bad.and I'm so mad mad mad at my husband.I have heard ppl joked about falling their kids. But I thought its joke.now it actually happened to my son. And its the first time he fell and its worst. Sorry I just need to vent. I am feeling so horrible.

Kaeda rolled off the couch when she was 6 weeks old. She was laying with her feet toward the back of the couch and had never rolled or anything before so we figured she was safe. She got really mad at waking up alone and kicked so hard she flipped her self off the couch. I was LIVID at DH and terrified that she was going to have a concussion or something but she calmed down relatively quickly and was just fine. *hugs*

 Don't feel bad. When my DD was 6 months old, we were staying overnight in a hotel or SIL's wedding and she was laying on the hotel bed on her boppy...I turned my back for a second and sure enough I heard a cry and somehow she fell out of the bed. I felt so terrible but she was fine. My DH lectured me about it for several days!

Sooner or later it seems to happen to everyone. My mother left them napping on the big bed one day to get something and came back one minute later to find a crying and very confused baby on the floor. The boppy had cushioned the fall, no harm done. But I came home to a crying grandmother, she felt so bad about it, although I never said a word. It was a wake up call for all of us to be even more careful.
Hugs to the poor bruised knee.

I think you did a very good job making it to 9 months before his first fall. He'll be walking before you know it and the bumps and bruises will be a dime a dozen!

(This does not make you a bad parent.)

Ditto! Jack rolled off the couch at 4 months--thats I how I found out he knew how to roll and JT rolled off the changing table at 7.5 months!!! So far so good with Hannah but poor thing gets trampled by her brothers so much that I don't know if it would phase her!!??

Miles was our accident prone one.. or I should say my husband is the accident prone one... he dropped him out of the jolly jumper, nearly dropped him on his head trying to hurdle the baby gate while he was on skype with his parents, and also left him unattended with the door open to the stairs and he went down about 8 stairs head first! It was the worst sound of my life, hearing him thump down those stairs.. but he's fine! Accidents do happen..

You (or your husband) are not alone. Jude rolled off a bench in the mall at 4 or 5 months when I was right there changing her diaper! I had a hand on her and someone called my name, I looked up and boom! I remember posting on here I was so freaked out. And everyone calmed me down. Zoe has never had a fall...one of the very few lucky ones from what I have now come to understand. :)

Wow you made it to 9 months! I don't know that our twins had been home 3 weeks from the NICU before Willa Grace fell off the couch, big sister dropped Wyatt when he was about 5 months old and last week he rolled off the bed. My poor children. Thankfully I had all the blankets and sheets pulled off the bed to get them in the wash and they were piled on the floor so he landed on those. MOTHER OF THE YEAR!

all three of my older kids fell off the bed. At nine months my DS pulled on one of the kitchen chairs and it fell over leaving him with a black eye.
