Glucose screening on Thursday plus seeing my OB for the first time in a couple of months. I saw midwives my last two monthly appointments. Not looking forward to her comments about my weight gain, but with the support of my husband and my perinatologist I feel like I'm doing fine. I don't feel her recommendation was realistic for me and my body.

I go in Thursday for my anatomy ultrasound (yay!!!!). We hope these babies cooperate and let us have some good potty shots because we're VERY anxious to know whether we are expecting boys, girls, or both. Any good tips on getting babies to wiggle around and open up their legs for good pictures?

I just came from my OB appointment, the things are ok but I lost 4 pounds in 3 weeks!!!!! He was a little concern, I have a lot of heartburn, so make me vomiting a lot. He wants to see me in 2 weeks and if the things are the same, he have to give something strong. I just have my U/S in 3 weeks but yesterday they didn't measure the cervix so I have to get back there next week!!!

I had OB visit monday my fundal height measurement was 34!! LOL I'm 22 1/2 weeks with my twins (plus a fibroid)! Then thursday I also have a growth scan I can't wait to see if they are positioned like I think they are I think their heads are on my right and feet on my left. But as for getting a glimpse between the legs I've heard to drink some juice right before you go, I did that before my NT scan and twin A was very still and they thought was a girl, turned out to be right, and twin B wouldn't stay still to even get a glimpse turned out that's our little boy. So I can't say it really heped at all. I think it's just their choice what they decide to do!

I had an appointment yesterday and did my glucose test. They haven't called with the results so I'm hoping that means everything is okay. I'm measuring about 6 weeks ahead--32 weeks and I'm 26 weeks. No U/S this time but I'm scheduled for my next growth scan at the peri on 2/8.

Try a calcium/magnesium supplement for the heartburn- I had it bad, too, & once I started taking 1/2 the dose at night and 1/2 in the morning my heartburn was virtually gone. :)

So, my doctor just called with my lab results and my glucose was fine but I'm anemic. Any advice/suggestions? I'm a bit concerned because from what I've heard (my mom and another good friend are both anemic) iron supplements have some nasty side effects like constipation and digestion issues.

Yes Steak, and anything green and leafy, spinach, brocolli. Also if they put you on Iron supplements, take it with ORange juice. Your body absorbs it better that way

On that vein, make sure you are not taking your prenatal with milk because it will inhibit the iron from absorbing.

Agree steak! That was all I ate to keep my iron level up, and my morning/all day sickness and tiredness at lowest levels.

Steak & find a bread that has a lot of whole grains- I used Whole Foods Seeduction bread for breakfast with peanut butter and oj to help absorb the iron. Iron takes a while to get back into your system, (6 weeks I think) but your body absorbs food sources better than supplements, so double down on the steak & salad. :) THIS

I've gained 22 pounds so far, was measuring 36(!!!!) weeks and my doctor said I'm doing great. I think she forgot that her suggestion in my file of 20-25 pounds was after finding out I was having twins because she said for twins I'm fine on my weight gain. LOL - I was so braced for an argument! She said no reason to go on bedrest anytime soon unless something drastic happens or I just can't keep up anymore.

I will hear in 24-48 hours about my GD test. Right now there is a boxing match going on in my belly and has been since I drank the stuff.

I just found out I have my very first OB appointment tomorrow! Yes, they called me today with the appointment (nice!).

Not sure if I will see the babies or not, but this is my first appointment with him so maybe? All the nurse mentioned is a urine test and lots and lots of blood! LOL.

    Nervous but excited!

@ DeeJay yep lots of blood, they are like vampires! My LO's measured on target today or ahead on some! They est Addalyn at 1lb 4 oz's and Archer at 1lb 8 oz's and he seems to be a little ham! She didn't roll over just some hands moving, but him oh lets see foot to head, playing with foot, yawning. So takehome pics today Addalyn 2 Archer 10! Lol

It's been a whirlwind few days. Thursday late afternoon we found out we're having two more boys. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit disappointed. This is our last pregnancy (I'm about 99% certain of that). I was so hoping for at least one little girl. BUT, on the bright side they're both measuring great and look VERY active and healthy. They are measuring at about 9 oz. each. Baby B kept kicking Baby A in the head... that was pretty funny to see. Baby B was a little mover and shaker. He had totally switched positions during the hour and a half that we were there. It was a lot of fun watching them move around.

Thursday night after we got home I spiked a 102 fever, severe headache, and back ache. All of these were signs I was told to look for in case of PICC line infection. So at 10:30 we went to the ER and spent a few hours there while they ran tests etc. They couldn't come to a definitive answer because most of the tests take several days for the cultures to grow. THey decided to be safe they'd pull my PICC line. I'm on antibiotics and zofran pills now.

Ugh, I'm sorry you were sick! We watched DH like a hawk because he had the compromised immune system of someone who just had heart surgery and had the PICC line. I hope the Zofran works and you don't need another put in!

Passed my GD test, just need to start taking one iron pill a day for slight anemia. I've upped my red meat consumption already...
