The girls tried green beans today. They went over very well. As of a couple weeks ago Maddie still wasn't all the ready to start solids. She was spitting most of it out. Well I tried again tonight and she ate it ALL. No spitting and I barely had to wipe her face. She ate a tbsp of green beans and a tbsp of applesauce. Allie liked the green beans too. After I put them to bed both of them were trying to get up on their hands and knees. Maddie was just about there. She had her stomach up off the matress. Oh boy! I'm not really ready for crawlers. I'm hoping it takes them a while to figure it out. Oh and since Allie got sick she hasn't really taken a paci. I keep offering it to her now that she can breath through her nose again and she isn't taking it. Good! I think I'm just going to quit offering it to her. I tried out the 6mos+ pacis with Maddie because she could almost get the plastic part of the 0+ paci in her mouth. That wasn't safe. Well she's not digging this new paci so much and spits it out. I'm not going back to the old one so I might have them both broke of it. Tonight I went in to check on them and Maddie's was down by her legs. She fell asleep without it. I hope we can kick that habit. It would be nice not to have to worry about pacis anymore! And the last bit of news...yesterday I tried Maddie out sitting up with the boppy around her and she did great. They are getting so big.

Good for you guys! Today was a big day for us too. We tried sweet potato and the boys loved it. Up until now they've only had cereal and Leo wasn't into solids much, like Maddie, but he ate it all too. And it's their first night sleeping in separate cribs. I can't believe all of the things they are doing now. It's happening so fast!

sweet potatoes have always been a big hit here. The twins haven't tried them yet but with my three bigger kids they all loved them. I remember my DD1 loved the orange foods...carrots, sweet potatoes, squash. The tip of her nose turned orange! lol It was funny.

ok...I guess it is time to get out the baby food, huh? My girls have been doing cereal since 4.5 months....just dread buying baby food. :) Wow!!!! They are getting up on their hands and knees? That's great! I have 1 that wants to move and the other just sits there content as can be just to sit-hehe. Don't you girls just love the age of our twins right now? Mine are so fun!!!! and so happy! i think I saw in a different post, Christinam, that your girls go to bed around 6:30pm....is this for the whole rest of the night? WOW! Mine take their last bottle around 10pm, but sleep through the night until about 9:30-10am. I've tried making their bedtime earlier, but they still wake up for another bottle. Just curious.....

The girls go to bed around 7-730, take a bottle around 4am, and then sleep until 6-7am. They don't take a bottle again until like 8am. I haven't ever had babies that have done this. My other three woke up ready to eat right that second. Once the girls are up at 7a I put their toys in the crib and they play a bit which then entertains then while I feed the older three. They're usually ready for a nap by 9am.

I tried doing a dream feed around midnight once. Totally backfired on me. They both ate but Maddie turned around and spit up a ton and I had to change her and then get her back down. Allie slept through it but was up TWICE that night instead of once. She woke again at 2am and 5am.
