We found out the gender

We went yesterday for our 3d gender ultrasound. And great news were having two GIRLS!!!!! We are very excited and thrilled. We get to go Back next Tuesday so they can practice more with twins. And then we have another sonogram on Thursday with our peri. Dr.

So now the question we wait for is if they are identical or fraternal. I love the suspense of the unknown. I'm ready to start shopping for these little girls.

 

Congratulations! I can hardly stand the wait of 10 more weeks to find out. I have one 2 year old girl who is nonstop adorable. Have double the fun with 2.....and I suggest many headbands with flowers and bows on them. They are addictive and irrestibly cute!

 

Congrats!!! How very exciting to know you'll have two sweet little girls. I'm hoping for at LEAST one little girl! Two might be more excitement than I could handle

That is awesome! I can't wait to find out!! I feel like baby b is a boy, because he is hiding from baby a (almost didnt see him!) and its just an intuition I guess...got a while before we get to find out :-/ I am so ready to know so we can shop and paint the nursery!!!

 

ohhh congrats they will be best friends!! I can't wait until the 27th to see what mine are for sure. A is most likely a girls and B was a little squirmy last time hopefully a boy!

 

We are so excited. They were even hugging and very close together in the sonogram. They will def grow up best of friends. We have a 4 yr old son who is going to make a wonderful big brother.

it's fun shopping for them, but girls are more expensive!!! My daughter loves shoes and clothes!!!!!! It's crazy shopping with her!!!

I was hoping for a boy and a girl, but the doctor said will not going to be possible since they share the placenta!!!!

 

I still haven't got a straight answer on how many placentas I have. Well now that they are two girls and if there is one placenta are they for sure identical? We go to the specialist next Thursday so I'm going to ask again for the placenta issue. All he told me before was that they can fuse together and there was no real yes or No answer.

 

Mine share a placenta and I've been told completely different things from different doctors and ultrasound techs. It seems like if they share a placenta there is a small possibility that there were two placentas originally which fused together, in which case they would be fraternal. Otherwise (and more likely) they are identical. Of course, mine aren't born yet, so what do I know?

 

Basically, they don't know.

If it was 2 placentas that fused together they could be identical but will probably be fraternal. Only testing (DNA, etc) will tell for sure.

It was only 1 placenta, they are indeed identical.

 

Congrats on 2 girls! Seems like a lot of us around here are expecting 2!

Are they in two separate sacs? I would imagine if they were hugging they share a sac, which is identical. Did they say?
