The girls have been using utensils for a long time now, but I'm looking to update their sets as the forks they have aren't piercing their food very well. Anyone have suggestions for forks/knives that won't hurt them but is great for piercing foods? Thanks!

We started using the Take and Toss forks when the boys were 1, but upgraded them to the Gerber Graduates forks when they turned 2: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3755975&CAWELAID=405207900. These are metal with a rubber handle, and have quite a bit more "piercing power" than the plastic forks without being too weaponized. ;)

We have these, but for some reason they don't poke food too well. They love to use their forks for everything, so for pizza and english muffins they seem to have difficulty using these. Hmmm

If you think they're mature enough to handle it, then I'd use salad forks! :good: My guys are butts and like to stab the table so I like the blunter forks. <_<

We have similar ones to what Nancy posted....mine also like to stab my wooden table, so no "dangerous" forks allowed yet!

The eat with adult forks sometimes, but have a hard time with them since they're so long. I'll have to check into some smaller ones I guess. Thanks, ladies. :)
