Newbie and I would love your opinion

I'm going to be very disappointed if my m/w can't come today. It is snowing heavily so I'm not sure if she will attempt to come. We r supposed to get 4-6 inches today. They've cancelled school too. So all 4 kiddos are home. I haven't heard from my m/w yet. And as the saying goes "no news is good news."

 

They cancel school for 4-5 inches? Here we need at least 20 inches before they cancel school.

 

Yes, they close the schools for 4-5 inches. The buses aren't eqipped for all the hilly backroads in our area.

 

My midwife was able to keep the appointment. I measured 5 weeks ahead today. I'm 22 weeks and measured 27. She palpated my abdomen and said she thought she felt two heads and she said she could separate them. As of now, she said if she had to guess if it was twins or not she would say yes it is. She told me I was large for my gestaional age and with measuring ahead and all the body parts and movement it was quite likely. She is seemed excited about my u/s on monday.

 

Yea! Hurry up Monday!

Going by my LMP my edd is 4-17-11. I'm 22 weeks and 2 days according to the m/w.

 

My appointment isn't until 2:15 and we will be about 70 miles from home.Plus we are going shopping while we're away. So I won't be posting an update until later Monday night.

 

I suppose we can wait... if we have to. ;-)

I think this must be a typo. If your LMP were April, wouldn't you be due about January?

I think she meant her due date was 4/11, not her LMP.

I'm sorry it's taken so long to update. We didn't get home until 11 o"clock last night,

The news is.....it's only one baby, It is measuring right on with my LMP at 1lb 5oz and 12-13 inches long. The amniotic fluid is measuring just right . The tech said she didin't see any reason for the uterus to be measuring large. Everything looked perfect. The placenta was in a good position, the baby was head down laying on it's left side. Which she said if anything, that would typically cause you to measure smaller rather than larger. The tech was puzzled as to why I am measuring ahead. She said she could see how high the top of my uterus was but could not pin point a reason. Although we would have been excited with twins. I am relieved that it isn't! I'm very happy with one healhy baby!!!

We had the tech put the gender in an envelope and we are going to open on Christmas. Two of the kids want a boy and two of them want a girl. lol
