FY roll call!

We've had a lot of kiddos turn 1 in the last few weeks, and I think there's probably a lot of new twin moms in the FY. Just wanted to see who everyone is!

Tell us your name, your kiddos names, your favourite thing about twins so far, what you're excited about this year, and your least favourite thing so far (I know it's the lack of sleep, so think of something else :lol: )

Oh and pictures too if you want!

 

Our fraternal twins were born Nov 14th, 2010. They are 23 days old. Their names are Mylo and Ava. Other than their cuteness... I don't know what else to say. We haven't known them for very long I guess you could say but we can already see their own little personalities coming out.

My girls Emma and Nora are turning 1 next week. They were born at 34w2d on Dec 15th 2009. I love to see them laugh together. I hate me having been in ICU after giving birth, not allowed to see them for more than 50 long hours. Also: 5 weeks of NICU. And: lots and lots and lots of fussing and crying and me unable to help them.

Hi! I'm Erin. My ID girls, Amélie and Audrée, were born Jan. 9, 2010 so they will be 1 soon (I can't believe it!).

My favorite thing so far has been watching their personalities develop...I love seeing how completely different they are from each other and how they seem to complement each others strengths and weaknesses...make me wonder if there was another one of me what she would be like, lol! I am also enjoying watching their relationship grow...they actually play together now and 'talk' to each other which is so cute to watch!

My least favorite thing has been getting everyone in and out of the house...now with all the winter gear this has become an even more annoying task. I know I might regret saying this but...I can't wait for them to walk so I'm no longer carrying two 23lb 'babies' to and from the van (of cource for some reason I always carry them at the same time).

What a great idea!

I'm Cheli. My twins are my 3rd and 4th babies. Kaeda Skye was my baby A and Ember Rayne my baby B. They were born on August 16th at 34 weeks and are closing in on 4 months old ( 2 1/2 months adjusted). My favorite thing about twins so far.. there is always a baby to snuggle! My husband and I used to argue over who got to hold our boys when they were babies, and now we both get snuggles whenever we want them! I am most excited about watching the girls interact with each other more. And my least favorite thing.. not having enough hands. I hate having to make someone wait when they need me

Hi! I'm Christina and I have twin girls Allie and Maddie. They were born Aug 2 and are a little over four months. I also have three children ages 2, 3, and 5yrs. The best so far is the smiles and them looking and laughing at each other. Least fav...besides sleep the amount of formula we go through.

My name is Christina and I have fraternal twins, Paige and Grayson! They were born October 22 at 36 weeks and are 6 weeks old! They are quite the handful already! Paige is the feisty older sister (just like she was in-utero) and Grayson is the laid back little man!! These sweet little miracles are our first (and probably only) kids and we love everything about them....from their cute little noses to their tiny little toes Once I figure out how to post pictures I will do so!!

I am very excited just to experience motherhood and watch these two grow up and start interacting (although I'm not in a huge hurry for that yet). My least favorite thing at the moment is managing the double burping! I figured out how to do the feeding but Paige has reflux and if she isn't burped right away she throws up and Grayson is just gassy and gets really fussy if he doesn't burp either!!! Also I should point out that they take FOREVER to burp! Good times

I have already utilized this forum so much and have had so much wonderful advice!

 

I'm Kim and we have twin boys born in March. Daniel and Ethan. They are numbers 4 and 5 in our little tribe.

My greatest joy so far is watching the attachment grow between all my children. They each have very different connections. Like Daniel will go to my eldest if he's feeling tired and just wants a hug or our third boy will race in to hug Ethan first thing in the morning. I love love love it.

As always my worse moments are when the kids are sick or hurt. It just tears me up. I am loving their first year and it's just going too quickly. No pics sorry. Not tech savy here. Don't even know where the camera is LOL.

 

I'm Stephanie and I have ID girls, Alexis and Samantha, born on Dec 29, 2009. They're almost a year!

My favorite thing is that they are now playing together and actively engaging one another. My least favorite thing is the whining that they've begun in the last week. It's making me nutty.

My name is Loranda and my fraternal twin girls Lena & Carmen were born August 17th (one day after your girls Cheli!) so they are just about four months old. My favourite part is their smiles! My least favourite part is not being able to give them each the attention and one-on-one time I would like to. I wish sometimes my eyes were like those of a chameleon so that I could look at both babies at the same time!

My name is Lauren, Ava and Sam were born Mar 31 at 31 weeks. My favorite thing so far has been watching their personalities emerge. Ava will be the laid back, quiet one and Sam will be a trouble maker!! Least favorite - time in the NICU for sure, but also not stopping to smell the roses so to speak. The first few months went by so quickly, I wish I remembered more!

My name is Monica and my twins are Vanessa Maria and Max Adrian, born on Sept 3rd at 37 weeks and 5 days, they are a 3 months old. They are our only children. Vanessa is always busy looking at things and gets bored easily then she cries but she is getting better about crying. Max is very calm and relaxed, we are joking that he doesn't know how to cry.

My favorite thing about them is to talk to them and hear them "answering" me back and laughing and cooing. Also it's very cute when they discover each other, and they hold hands - more by accident now, but hey, it's a start.

My least favorite thing is to leave to go to work in the morning, especially when they are cute and talkative and sweet. I hate that.

I guess mine are ID. Everyone says so. DH and I are the only ones in doubt.

 

My name is Samantha my twins names are Zachary David and Elijah Caleb. They were born November 9th, 2010 they will be a month old tomorrow. My favorite thing about them is that they both sleep very good at night. I don't have a least favorite thing about them.

Hello! My name is Jill and I had B/G twins on August 14th, Ike and Lucy. They were born at 31 weeks, and they are now almost 4 months (almost 2 months adjussted). They spent a little time in NICU as feeder/growers, Ike for 3 weeks and Lucy for 4. No major time unlike our first DD who is now alomost 3 who was born at 29 weeks and spent over 2 months in NICU. Now THAT was hard. As much as I hated that the twins had to spend time in the NICU, it was much easier this go around.

My favorite thing right now is that they are really smiling back at you, and responding to baby talk, etc. I found it sooo hard to get up every 1 to 2 hours with no smiles or cooing to look forward to. My husband works nights and I was on my own all..night ..long..I speak of this in past tense because they have been sleeping for 12 hours at night for almost a month. So, for now, things are really good

I have a giant load of Mommy guilt. I feel so bad that I don't have more arms for the twins and my older DD. So that sux too.

I am looking forward to seeing my twins and my older DD grow to be best buddies!! I have NO idea how to put pics up, but they are ADORABLE!
Everyones babies on here are super cute, too!!!

 

My name is Shera and I have identical twin boys, Jude and Leo, born on July 30th. They were born at 33 weeks 6 days and spent 3 and 4 weeks in the NICU. They're just over 4 months old now and are doing fantastic and growing so quickly. At their 4-month check-up Leo was 11 lb. 8 oz. and Jude was 12 lb. 5 oz. The boys are our only children.

My favorite things so far are the smiles and laughing. I also love the snuggles, and they've been sleeping through the night for a while now so that is pretty great too.

My least favorite thing is having to go to work. I was on maternity leave until a couple of weeks ago and I'm still adjusting. I don't get to spend as much time with them since I'm gone all day four days a week. I miss them terribly all day long and can't wait to get home because I want to spend as much time as possible with my sweet boys.

This picture was taken a little over a month ago. They've grown so much since then, but I still like this pic. It's rare to get them both still and looking at the camera at the same time.

Hello Ladies!

My name is Thu. My frat b/g twins are Michelle and Nolan. They are 8 months and 2 days (about over 6 months adjusted). Every moment im with them is precious. I love everything about them. Its so interested in watching them developing into 2 different little people with totally different personalities. Michelle is like 'I can do it mama', so energetic and tough. Nolan is so lay back, sweet and funny. Oh I love the most is your family time, the whole house is filled full with love and laughs. My least favorite is that I have to work and miss the precious momments when they laugh, talk, explore new things everyday. I want to be apart of every single second in their lives lol.

Hi. I'm Kate. Our boys, Michael and Gabriel, will be 1 year old on Dec. 28th, so we are almost out of the first year. Everyone else says they are ID, but of course I think they look really different!

My favorite thing with twins so far is seeing them play and interact. Sometimes they will just look at each other and start laughing, which I think is great! My least favorite part is they have MSPI (milk and soy protein intolerance), so we are still having to feed them separate meals because soy is in so much and I'm scared of them getting it and not sleeping for three days. This year I'm very excited about our boys learning to walk and talk - they are starting to walk already!

I just got a new laptop and haven't transferred my pictures yet, so no pictures right now.

I'm Angelika and my id girls Noelie and Lilou were born on July 1st after 36+3 weeks. They were tiny at birth (4 lb 6 oz, 4 lb 13 oz) and are still small at 5 months but we don't really care as long as they are healthy.
Every morning when I walk into their room still tired and grumpy because I would like to sleep just a little longer, they melt my heart with their huge toothless smiles. I love their warm little bodies, their smell, their laughs ....
I too suffer from twin mommy guilt. I wished I could give both girls the attention they deserved. I hate it when they are crying and I can't pick up both and hug them

Hi...I am Crystal. I had my twins on August 1st. They are just over 4 months old. Their names are Karli and Tenli and they were born at 36 weeks 2 days. They both weighed 5lb. 15oz. at birth. They have weighed the same every since except for Wed at their 4 month check up they were 2 ounces apart. My favorite thing to do with them is lay them both in front of me and make them laugh at the same time!!! LOVE IT! Nothing like hearing your babies laugh, let alone 2 of them! So adorable! My least favorite thing so far is bath time...hehe. I hate bathing 2 babies. Just takes sooo much time! I am excited for them to acknowledge each other more often and for them to giggle with each other! So far they don't really seem to care about their twin very much. Can't wait till they actually "play" together.

I have gained so much information through twinstuff and am so grateful I found this forum!!! You ladies are sooo helpful! Thank you!

Hello, my name is Amy. I am a mom of three beautiful girls. My oldest is Allie and she is 4 years old. Madison and Mackenzie are almost 5 months old. They were born on July 14 at 37 weeks. Having twins has been such a joy in my life, I love just about everything about it(except the sleep deprivation of course). I love watching them interact and developing into their own little personalities, I love watching them smile and laugh at their big sister. This may sound weird, but having the twins makes me feel empowered as a mom, I almost feel like I'm im this elite group of moms that if you can handle twins you can conquer anything. They are really developing personalities now so it is becoming a lot of fun.

My least favorite thing about having twins is doing simple tasks like going to the grocery store are really difficult. I've managed the getting everybody out of the house part because I have to take my oldest to preschool three times a week and my husband has had to travel quite a bit since the twins were born. But managing a double stroller and trying to shop is not an easy task.

I look at them everyday and count my blessings, and wonder how was I so lucky to have been blessed as a twin mommy. It's a special thing and I absolutely love it.

So we're almost a year old. They were born at 36+6 weeks and came home right away.

I love having twins, especially now that they interact with me and eachother!!

The hard part??? Well, probably the lack of personal freedom and this teething phase is pretty sucky too

Hello everyone!

My name is Faith. I have two girls--Lillie and Dani--born February 7. My favorite thing is watching them interact with each other. Even though most of the time Dani is tackling Lillie, I still love watching them fight over toys, laugh at dinner time, "talk" to each other in the morning. It's adorable! I can't wait until they start walking and talking. I know everyone tells me that I'll be utterly exhausted when they start walking, but I think it will be wonderful.

What I dislike the most is their crazy napping. Sometimes, they will both take two really good naps and I get some down time. But usually one will take a really good nap while the other will sleep for 30 minutes or not at all. Mommy needs a break during the day kiddos!

Hi! I'm Amber, I have a 4 year old, Henry and my twins are Georgia & Miles, they are 5 months old. My favorite thing about twins so far is just having them. The only thing better than 1 baby smiling at you is two babies smiling at you! My least favorite thing is the lack of time I have to spend with my 4 year old. We were buddies, and it's a big change for all of us!

 

I'm Danielle and mom to identical twin girls Tenley Tulip & Delaney Mae. They were mo-mo twins so we feel super blessed that they are here and healthy! They were born at 31 weeks 5 days on August 15, 2010. They spent 31 days in the NICU. My favorite thing is how beautiful they are and how no matter how bad of a day we are all having, if they flash me a gummy smile, my heart melt and my troubles fade away, if just for a little bit! They are 4 months old but 9 weeks adjusted so I'm really looking forward to watching them reach new milestones. I'm really excited for them to discover each other and interact with each other. My least favorite thing...dealing with their colic and over all constant fussiness. Not fun!

I love how you spelled Tenli's name!! I have a Tenley! Born August 15th. We knew early on that we were naming one of the babies Tenley if they were girls and another name I really wanted was...Karlee! We ended up going with the name Delaney though. Just thought that was cute, we have similar taste in names. My girls aren't interested in each other yet either...its nice to know that my girls aren't the only ones that don't seem to care about their twin.

 

Hi! Im Michelle... we have boy/girl twins born at 36weeks 5 days, they are 2 months old ~Lilly & Logan~... they are babies #3 & #4 :blink: for us...the last of the clan! SO happy to see so many "faces" about the same age..Ive been on here since I was about 5 weeks preggo (we found out we were having twins at 4weeks 6 days)& I plan on being here for a very long while, lord knows with all these dang kids I need some HELP! :tomato:

My least favorite thing is that I only have 2 hands to take care of one needing girl and the other has to wait, be patient, or cry a bit til her turn :cry:
