Long legs vs. Long Torso

So Alice is a smidge taller than Royce as evident in this picture:

But Royce's torso is way longer than Alice's, as evident in this picture, they're both sitting on the same bench but he appears much taller with the same amount of.

THIS is why my husband and I don't have to adjust mirrors when we switch cars even though I have 5 inches on him.

They are cuties Bex :wub: And I notice the same thing with my two, standing she is taller then him and sitting, he is taller then her.

Wow, there is a big leg torso difference. Is Alice taller or just closer to the camera in that picture? Alice always has the best faces LOL!

 

That is an awesome Christmas card photo! And too funny about torso/leg's. That's similar to dh and I. He has a longer torso, I have the longer legs...

Dh and I are like that too. I am all leg and he is all body with short legs. We are the same height though.

 

Great pictures! And wow, those kids are built differently. We've got a little of that going on - Ivy always looks taller than Andrew (though really they're almost exactly the same height) because she has this long graceful neck and long limbs. And he has no neck! (Well, a little of one now, but totally no neck as a baby.)

And I love the idea of using those for your holiday photos.

 

Yes, she is taller than him, but not by much, maybe 1/2 - 3/4", but she is in front of him in that picture, but he's touching her so he's almost at the same horizon line.

That is pretty much the reaction my husband and I both had when we saw that one on the screen. And yes, we bought that one for the grandparents. :girl_devil:

Thats so neat how different their body types are. I have only ever noticed it with my two girls who are 5 years apart. They can almost wear the same leotards bc my 10 yr old is soo short torso'd and my 5 yr old has a longer torso.

Such cuties! I love that last picture!! My girls have long torsos as well, makes buying clothes difficult since they are in 3T tops but still in 18-24month pants....

I have been asked if Ava is a year older than Addison because she is taller (torso and legs!)

 

Awesome, awesome pictures!! Alice's face in the last one looks just like a face that Nate makes....I call it his "the deuce you say!" face! :lol:

My guys are both all torso and no legs. The look like little gibbons when they're nude.
