Our Babies are here!

    On Nov. 27th I went into L&D with what I thought were changes. I was sent home with an intact water bag and 4cm 90%. I woke up at 11:50pm to go to the bathroom and felt and heard like a pop. I went back to bed but at 12:30am a contraction woke me up. I woke up DH and then went to the bathroom again and this time noticed a bit of a change (blood) We timed contractions and left at 1:10am. All the way here I was contracting and they got closer. We arrived at 1:25 am. I was in severe pain and told the nurses that I deliver very fast. I was checked at about 1:45am and was complete. On the way to the OR my water broke. They were going to try for an epidural because I had not felt the urge to push. No such luck. They barely got an IV in me and I had to push. The Dr. on call was still getting her gloves on and the Dr from my office was on his way. I pushed 2 times and at 2am Lidea was born. No time for anything and the Dr had to pull Levi out by the feet and he arrived at 2:09 am. It was by far the worst pain ever but it is a memory now!

    Lidea weighs 5 pounds 3 oz 18 inches and has nursed like a champ!
    Levi weighs 5 pounds and is 18 1/2 inches has nursed once just not as well

    I am so surprised that I did all this with no drugs... lots of screaming and begging for relief but I did it!! We prayed for 5 pound babies with no NICU and that is what God gave us. We are so blessed and thankful. It is time for rest for me now... Daddy has the babies in nursery to have glucose check.

    Congratulations mama!! You did it :) Those are fantastic weights and it sounds like babies are both doing well.

    Congrats, Glad it went so fast. I love both of your names. We have talked of both of them. Glad you got away NICU free. That is my goal also, hope I make it.

    Yes you did!! I told DH as soon as I read that what you said and he said let's hope it's prophetic!!

    Congrats on the birth of your babies!!! And your dr WAS right, you did have them by the weekend!!! lol. So glad all went amazing with the delivery - you're a champ!!! And 5 lb babies are AWESOME,esp for 35 wks!!! You did great!:D

    Cant wait to see pics!
