I will be 30 weeks tomorrow (!!!) after a big scare at almost 25 weeks when I found out my cervix was shortening. Since I've been overshadowed by this feeling that the babies can come anytime, even though I hope they stay in awhile yet, I'm starting to think more about the birth and being ready.

When did you pack your bag for the hospital?

You're on bedrest, right? If you have a list of things to pack and you know you won't need some of them in the meantime why don't you slowly start putting things together? It will give you something to do and if you just gather a few things a day you won't be doing too much.

I remember being 30 weeks and starting packing, then I stopped, then started back up at 33 weeks, then stopped, and then started back up the day before my induction at 38weeks 5 days. I was bad for making sure I was completely packed. I was running all over the house trying to finish it....I would do it now and then keep a list of things that need to be packed last minute.

Hahaha, I never packed a bag. I did have my husband pick up some stuff after the first night, but I never "packed a bag". I picked up a toothbrush and toothpaste from the hospital gift shop while I was waiting for triage since I figured that I would be there for a while. :D

    I didnt either, really.
I went to an OB appt. was told to head to the hospital and I ran home threw a few things in a bag and headed there. Everything I wanted to take I used every day so it wasnt something I could leave in a bag. :pardon:

I think now is as good as time as any!!

I have started to get the babies bag together, but then stopped because depending on when they come they may not come home with me.. I didn't even think of a bag for me. I should have thought of this because when I was pregnant with my DS I went into a panic at about 35 weeks thinking I needed to get all packed. Then I was like "I still have several weeks to go" I had him 2 days later when my water broke unexpectedly. I was living in one town and my Dr was in another 2 1/2 hours away. We jumped in the car and left... no bag for me or baby or DD. Had to go shopping~ So I guess the best thing to do is pack now.. guess I better do that too.. I could have these babies any day too!! Good luck.

I say pack it now. I don't think I packed everything until the day I got off bedrest and went into labor. But I had started the baby things before.
