What are you doing for gloves?

We take walks and it's getting cold. The babies are fine in regular cloths and a jacket but their hands get so cold. What is the best method to keeping them covered? What gloves actually work and what can't they pull off?

Call me crazy, but last year, i just used cosy socks on their tiny hands, it did the job and there was no tricky finger matching to be done.

With my oldest I bought mits and stuck all his fingers thumb included together. I never worried about sticking his thumb in the thumb part.

No not crazy at all! I actually thought about this issue couple days ago. I was about buying mits for them. But I'm sure they will fall off right away. This is really good idea! I will try.thanks

They have mits for babies that don't have thumbs, they fit kind of like a sock :). That's what I have but when I put them on for the first time the other day I remembered how much fun it is to put mits on babies...so not! DS never kept his on very well so I had a toddler Bundle ME in the stroller for walks. I would put the mits on and then stuff his hands inside the Bundle Me in an attempt to keep them on! Oh the fun of babies in winter :)

I have these, too, but it isn't quite cold enough here yet to start wearing them. The sock idea might work for now.

Mine spend most of their days in just diapers and I only dress them if we are going out. So ... they hate clothes. Claire fusses and tries to yank everything off when I dress her. I don't even keep socks on them at home because it's just a race to see who can pull them off first. I needed something that they couldn't pull off on their own.

Oh yeah! Do these work on convertible car seats by chance?

They have all the same openings as the infant sized ones so I'm sure they do. I have also considered this to avoid the snowsuit thing as much as possible but that would mean either constantly switching them from the car seats to the stroller or buying another 2 and they are expensive (as is everything else with twins!).

It's already such a challenge to get all 3 of mine dressed and out the door (both girls are crawling and climbing so they do NOT stay put) and I haven't even taken out the big snowsuits yet...I am seriously considering staying indoors until April

I know! I hate diapers changes now for that same reason. They won't sit still for anything! It's a fight to get dressed or change a diaper or wipe off their faces ... everything.

My MIL knitted little mittens out of some soft wool without thumbs on them and attached strings to put them through their jackets. She made the cuffs extra long so that they don't slip off very easy. You might find them on etsy.
