My LOs have had a cold for almost a MONTH!
now their mucous is green (TMI sorry) and could it be something more? still congested, still runny noses?

Back in the day, doctors used to think green mucous meant a sinus infection. They no longer believe that today. A general rule of thumb for doctors now is if they've been sick longer than 12-14 days then it could be a sign of infection or sinusitis. This is when they would start talking with you about putting them on antibiotics.

One of my girls was sick for about 13 days with a cold. I took her in to see her doctor and she prescribed her antibiotics. She took them for one day and was feeling a lot better. It's best if you call your doctor if you're concerned. :)

I agree with Christine, I would call your doctor to have them checked out.

I was going to say that ear infection is more likely. If you look at facial anatomy in babies they are actually born without sinuses and develop them as they grow. True sinusitis is not possible until they are about 4 years old.
