Here I go again! I am so excited and nervous!

I'd been stalking this thread, hoping to hear this! Congratulations!!

The beta was SUPPOSED to be today. I scheduled it on the day of the FET. I was happy to get a Friday appointment because even though it was just 8 days out, that way I would not have to go through an entire weekend wondering. As I was leaving the house the phone rings and STUPID me answers it. It is the nurse at Dr. Starks's office telling me that they never do betas sooner than 10 days and I need to wait until Monday SAY WHAT???? Does she not understand that I am in CRAZY mode?? and this is me = :crazy: ???? so I asked her LOL - she said that they prefer to wait and know that it is hard but to wait is better - yeah for normal folks NOT for ladies in crazy mode I wanted to go in on Monday to get ANOTHER beta NOT the first one LOL!!!!! oh well - I cried to Travis and he told me that the plan is already written - if this baby is going to do well it will - if not there is nothing we can do and these betas really won't really tell us the whole truth - in the summer of 09 my betas doubled fine and I still lost the baby so for now I know I am pregnant, I am just forced to wait on the bloodwork.


I am on estrogen patches, dexamethasone, baby aspirin, Progesterone capsules (am) and progesterone in oil injections (pm)

It really is cool that this one(s) is from the same batch as my girls!!! Travis is convinced that it is another girl(s) but DOES NOT want to find out!!!!! are people trying to KILL me!!!!????LOL!!!!!

Grow sweet little one(s) GROW!!!!!!

 

I've been lurking too, routing you on! I would be going CRAZY if I had to wait 3 days longer for the first beta. I am so sorry! And BTW, that progesterone level was higher than mine was with my twins!!! I'll be praying for great #'s for you!!!

After my IVF I rubbed my tummy for weeks saying hold on Max & Lily even though we transfered 3 embryos so when we found out we were having boy/girl twins I knew I had to use those names. We had been throwing names around during our entire infertility struggle, but for some reason those names just popped into my mind. I guess it was just destiny. Keep the positive thoughts, try not to go crazy (yeah right I know :crazy: ), and I agree with your husband that God's plan is already set in motion and what is meant to be will be.

I hope your beta numbers are good on Monday. My doctor's office refused to give me a beta early even after I got a ton of BFP on different brands of HPT's, but I had a UTI so my general practitioner drew blood before prescribing meds so I got around the beta rules by 3 days .

 

ugh for having to wait!!! but your dh has the right thoughts... still hard to wait. i hope you have a great weekend!!

 

Keep us posted. I hope you can come up with lots of distracting things over the weekend. It will make the time go by faster.

 

Monday will be here before you know it. And waiting those extra days should give you a better number. Getting it done too early and you might have been wondering "is that high enough".... Hopefully this weekend flies by for you!!!

 

Oh Jen!!! I didn't think of that!!! you are SO right!!! can you imagine my reaction to a number of like 10 !! OMGoodness it would have been enough to really send me over the edge :crazy: !!!! I would have been worried all weekend anyway!!

 

The most distracting thing EVER EVER EVER is happening this weekend! My dad is coming home!! (He has been gone to hospitals and nursing homes since January because of a terrible infection in both legs we had his legs amputated Oct 12 plus he has had several strokes previously and is basically child like - now he is done with rehab and phsyical therapy so is ready to come home) I just hope now that he is not in pain anymore that he will be nicer and do the things he is supposed to do!!! anyway, he will keep me busy I am sure, that is at least one plus to his return!

212 !!!!! :woohoo: !!!!! that was done this morning at 11 days past a 6 day transfer - Dr Starks believes that it is just one but his nurse wonders LOL!! I go back next Monday for another beta - they would have done it Thursday but because of the holiday I have to wait a whole week!!! They will do an ultrasound Dec 7 - I am so excited!

I was told FETs tend to have lower #s than fresh IVF so it sounds great!

Do you recall your # before??

I was 316 at 14 DPO with the twins on a fresh IVF- that was a nice high # and they were sure it was twins(they wanted to see above 50 at 14 DPO and doubling every 48 hours-- so about 150 at 17 DPO, which is where you are at)

When I had my twins I was told it was absolutely only ONE because at day 12 I was only at 40. I was at 65 with my ds on the same day. I think my little dd was just a late "implanter" (if that's even a word ) You never know!!!!

When I was pregnant with the twins I do not remember the # I will have to look it up! but they told me that it was probably too high to be just one (I want to say it was in the 400's at 13-14 DPO they were fresh IVF 3day embryos). In the summer of 09 with the FET that I lost, it my first beta was 147 it was just one at 15dpo. I am SO curious!! I have come to the conclusion that it is not fair that a mother cannot just peek in and check on their baby(ies)!!! We need a window!!! Luckily with dad home and the inlaws coming for thanksgiving, I should be good and occupied until Dec 7 (right now it seems like light years away, but then again so did today just 3 days ago LOL!!)

If any of you can come up with cute wording for a Christmas card let me know!! - I think we are going to tell our families then (I am of course dying to tell NOW but because of what happened in 2009, I guess we will wait until at least after the first ultrasound). I think at that point we should feel pretty safe and know how many LOL!

YAY!!!! Awesome number!!! When I had the fresh cycle with the boys, my number was 126........ Soooo..who knows!

Here is the card we used when I was pregnant with Annabella. We announced it on our Christmas card as well. I absolutely LOVE it. Cindy from TS did it. If you want her info, I will gladly pass it along!

I had the blood drawn for the beta today but they sent me to the lab instead of doing it in the office so I am FORCED to wait until tomorrow for the results!!!! Oh my goodness!!! I am NOT a good waiter!!!!!!
