What is the best "twin" item you use/have received or use the most? What would you recommend to another expectant twin mom?

    (i.e. 2 swings, etc)

I second that! I love having that to make big batches.

I also must say the bouncers we had. I was very sad when the girls started to tip them and we had to go to bigger chairs. Those bouncers were lightweight, portable, easy to rock them to sleep for a nap. I loved them.

My farvorite baby shower gift was angle baby movement monitor. My twins were 32 weeks 1 day. My girl had breathe, suck, swallow issue for the first 2 months. So we bought 1 and received 1 monitors.we used them 24/7 for the first 3 months.I couldn't close my eyes without those were turned on.

But for daily, we use most: baby scale, my pump in style advanced, bottle rack, microwave botle steamer (we use it daily. I would say its a must)

Now at 6.5 months, my kids use the most their rockers. They love to sit on those and watch baby eisteins dvds, crib mobiles.

The swings and boppy chairs by far! My boys slept in the swings for their naps until they were 4-5 months and we used the chairs to bottle feed them when we were by ourselves. Lifesavers IMO!

Swings-we had two. Not every baby likes them. Luckily mine did! We used them every.single.day for the first six months. They napped in them every day up until then.

Boppy Pillows-this too, I used every single day. In fact, I think I used them closer to a full year! Definitely two of them!

Bouncers-two as well. Now, I registered for one, and got a second one as a hand me down. I wouldn't necessarily go out and buy two. If someone is willing to let you borrow one, hand one down, or if you have a kids consignment shop in the area.

Booster seats-these BY FAR have been one of the best purchases we ever made. We got a good two years use out of them, and now Annabella uses one at my parents house, and we leave one in the car at all time. Booster Seat

It's awesome. We would go to the 99 restaurant for dinner and they only have booths. Try putting two highchairs at the end of the booths with infants who are learning to self feed. No easy task! So we bought these and took them to every restaurant we went to. They sat inside the booth with us-so no food throwing all over the floor(and there was a tray that helped, or the bench), no servers spilling hot food/drink on them, no strangers coming up to them and touching them. Love love love them! I tell everyone I know-to register for one. And, because we left them in the car, we always had a highchair if we ended up at someone's house spur of the moment or whatever...

    OK. Commercial over! :FIFblush:

Bouncy seats!!! They are my saving grace!! I put the kids in them when I shower, I feed them in them and they love to go in them to give me a couple minutes to wash dishes, etc.

I was also given sleep sacks called Kangapouches...then are made of down, are super long and best of all they zip from the bottom so when I change diapers in the middle of the nights I'm not undoing anything!

Hands down, we wouldn't have been able to live without our Double Snap'n'go stroller. For real. It's lightweight and was easy enough to use. I still use it every day to get the girls to/from the day care building, and we can leave it there (with car seats) for when Daddy picks them up. I don't know how other moms of twinfants get their kids back and forth from the car every day? (snap'n'go)

We used it every day AND NIGHT, while I was home. My girls slept in their car seats for the first 3 months, next to my side of the bed. For the night feedings, we'd roll them into the nursery down the hall (not disturbing them until it was time to eat), then roll them back into the bedroom to go back to sleep. We brought it downstairs during the day, so I could bring them with me to the kitchen or other rooms of the house depending on where I was. It was a lifesaver. Since the twins were my first - I was a nervous mom to start (still am, I guess) so didn't even like leaving the room without them.

I can't find the pic of them in the kitchen in their carseats, but here's one from the girl's first walk-around-the-block back in April! Oh my, they look so little!!! Anyway they are all snuggled in. They still sleep great in their car seats, on road trips etc.

    FIrst walk around the block

HERE- The best gift we got was a Graco Twin Bassinet. The boys slept in it until they were 3 months. We kept it in the living room right outside our bedroom door. It was also right next to the recliner that I spent about the first 2 months sleeping in. We didn't even put up cribs for them until they were 3 months old. I would definitely recommend it.

I also loved their Bumbo chairs. We put them in the chairs early on with a pillow behind their heads to help them build neck and back support. They loved them. Get them from others though. They will only use them for a few months and used ones will be like brand new.

HERE- My new cribs from Ikea are fantastic. They are small basic cribs that only cost me $99 each, and they turn into toddler beds. I got the Gulliver ones.

We got a baby video monitor which I love because I can see them in their cribs.

My MIL knitted afghans for each of them. I love using them as blankets because if they get them over their faces they can still breath through the holes. I don't worry about them as much when they are using them.

I only had one swing and one bouncer chair, I just alternated them. I had 2 boppy pillows though.

We had 2 swings but I returned one because one baby hates it and the other one is only so-so with it.

Definitely get 2 boppies!! These are used everyday.

By far my FAVORITE item has been the rock and play sleepers I ordered from Target. Everytime I go anywhere and see a pregnant woman looking at a bassinet I want to stop her and tell her about these. Seriously my favorite item. I even took back my bouncy seats believe it or not because these are perfect! Although I may end up getting bouncy seats later.

Also -- Either buy or download a CD of RAIN FALLING. I also got a rain and thunder CD from target but downloaded a track called "rain falling on a roof" and I play this everytime I want to put the babies down. I hear white noise boxes work too, but these tracks have been a lifesaver for us.

Same here, but I just ordered a second bouncer. We have a nanny starting next month when I go back to work and I thought it would be helpful to use bouncers for bottle feeding two at once.

I have a Fisher Price Zen swing and love it. We can also remove the seat and use that as another place for one of the babies to sit or sleep. It's really convenient.

Boppy pillows! As others have said, they're great for feeding and entertaining them alone. Our babies also nap in them - helps so much with reflux. And our pack n play's (x2). We live in a three-story rowhome, so we have their crib in the nursery on the second floor and a pack n play on each of the other floors. That way they can nap on whatever floor we're on.

(Our babies never got into bouncers and only one likes the swing - they're not for all babies.)

Oh, and swaddlers. Our girls love to be swaddled, but were always breaking out of the blankets, waking up, and crying. The swaddlers were lifesavers.

I loved our bumbo seats. Starting When our twins were around 4 months old, I took them everywhere with us. I put them in the back of shopping carts and let the girls sit up and shop lol! We took them to restaurants and sat them on the table, one on my side one on daddy's side. The girls loved to sit in them on the floor at the house and swat at the dog as she walked by. I fed them in their bumbos, we sat in the yard with them in their bumbos They were great until they could escape from them. At that point we didn't use them as much but now at 4 they love to sit in them and watch tv LOL or Ava will sit her babies in them!

Cool idea, but how did you secure them so they did not slide off the bench, etc? Know this sounds silly, but I am having trouble visualizing...

I never really used the Boppy pillows. Had 2 of them, but our little guys just seemed to roll around them when they were little infants so I didn't use them much. I used 2 bouncy chairs a LOT more (the vibration was great for soothing too). And the one thing that we have been using non-stop since the boys have been about 5 months old (and they are nearly 2 years old now) are....video monitors!! I don't recommend just any model or brand. I highly recommend digital (for lack of interference and because its more secure) and I also must rave about the Summer Infant Best View digital monitors - because they are awesome and have worked flawlessly for over 18 months! Our video monitors (we have a camera over each crib, but only one hand held unit) is the one item I would not part with if forced to decide.

    2 Boppy pillows.
    2 swings.
    2 bouncy seats.
2 JUMPEROOS (Rainforest worked GREAT!) I really didn't want them to get flat heads so I liked keeping them upright as much as possib le.

I also loved sleep sacks by Carters.

OH and vacuum noise cd from Amazon SAVED US in colic months!

Loved the Moby Wrap - didn't do the twin hold a lot but I could wrap one to me and walk around and handle the other, then switch. LOVED that thing. When they were older we had two swings - LIFESAVERS. Exersaucer/jumperoo, loved the bumbos for something different and had the trays so I could sit on the floor and spoon feed them. We also have the booster seats like Meaghan's and they are awesome and take up no space. What else??? So many things! Twilight turtles...awesome but even MORE awesome at 2 years old because they can turn them on and make them go different colors. I had the EZ2Nurse for tandem feeding - AWESOME, but I also had 2 boppies...probably one of our best ever purchases. Used them when they couldn't sit, then when they could start to sit to cushion the falling over. As babies I used when I BF one at a time but my DH also used one just to more comfortably hold one while they slept and we watched a movie or something...for catnapping, or just for playing with them on our laps. Honestly, they were so tiny when they came home it wasn't easy to sit on a couch and hold them without feeling like they were not comfortable - when it got to much the boppies were so useful. Okay - this was long-winded. :)

Lastly, the DVD Happiest Baby on the Block and a big exercise ball that we could sit on and bounce a baby in our arms. SAVED my back and they loved the motion...especially Jude with colic!
